Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII Play Arts Kai Aerith

Posted on July 5, 2018 at 7:31 am by Joe Moore under Video Game Toy News

Square Enix has opened up pre-orders for their new Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII – Aerith Gainsborough Play Arts Kai Figure. This release is based on her appearance in Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII for the PSP. Aerith stands about 9.7″ tall, includes two interchangeable heads, some interchangeable hands, a staff, and a figure stand. The figure is priced at $149.99, but is currently on sale for $134.99. Look for the figure to be released in December. See the new photos by clicking the headline of the story.

From the world of FINAL FANTASY VII, one of the most beloved titles from the FINAL FANTASY franchise, We present to you Aerith Gainsborough. Depicted from the ending footage of CRISIS CORE FINAL FANTASY VII, seven year prior to the events of FINAL FANTASY VII. Our designers have paid great care in recreating her feminine form and the texture of her clothing, for a finish that looks very accurate to her presence in-game. We tried to express Aerith’s identity as someone who carries the burden of being the last of the ancient race Cetera, but lives her life beautifully.

With interchangeable face parts – one which features a soft yet determined expression as well as one with her deep in prayer. Using the other included accessory parts & display stand, you can recreate various scenes.

Hate to be “that guy”, but $150 again for a figure that pretty much seems to have no articulation below the chest is a bit too much!! I guess they are banking on people buying this out of love for the character....

Figure available for 107$ At Nippon Yasan

    https://www.nippon-yasan.com/figures...ai-aerith.html

Aerith HAS Articulation below the Chest, it is just not visible.
Play Arts Kai have always Leg Articulation.

Another thing to certain People: STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT THE PRICE!
Buy the damn Figures on Pre Order / Discount Sale
and the Price won't be 150$ but around 100$-120$ instead.

There are People like me, who still collect PAK ONLY!
And that includes that i want to get my Hands on a

    FF 7 Kadaj
    KH Terra
    KH Ventus
    Dissdia PAK

    Figures some day.

Besides some People already complained about the KH3 Bring Arts Figures and PAK Size differences.

Many People said in the KH Forum:
"Great, now my Aqua does not match with the KH3 Bring Arts Sora"

Do you know how stupid it looks, to have such a big KH Aqua, and a small Bring Arts Sora besides it?

The demand from People who say
"PAK should be cancelled and Bring Arts only"
Is absolutely NOT acceptable, since some Collections are still
    Incomplete.

And besides: Square Cancelled a Line before: Normal Play Arts never got a full Line of KH Characters. And now the same shall happen to PAK?

And what follows after Bring Arts, if People find Issues on those Bring Arts Figures?
Another new Line? Sorry not acceptable in any way.

People should give Square a Chance to complete a Full Series
    at least this time.

Not be able to afford a single PAK Figure and say "to expensive for me"
is just an excuse if one Person can not handle their Finances
    correctly.

At this point they will probably just restrict PAK figures to these "must have" characters to suck the wallets of PAK collectors dry.

It's much cheaper to make Bring Arts figures due to size/scale, and they're pretty damn expensive for their pricepoint. Probably just going to focus on Bring Arts more and more.

    I'm ok with it.

Releasing both Lines would make sense, that way they could generate
    the Maximum Profit.

I do not know if Aerith really is a "Must have"
for me these were Zack, AC Cloud, AC Sephiroth, and iam glad
    i bought them.

If you say "must have Character" then every Character is a PAK
"must have" because i know how many Fans are out there, that
want a Kadaj and a Crisis Core Genesis Figure.

If I may explain myself since I am one of the persons who did complain...

Looking at this figure, how is it going to be articulated? If anything, this one is going to be another Luna Freya scenario. With Luna, she had legs, but it was pointless. Her gown restricted almost all movement. Are you telling me that this will be different with Aerith? Only thing I can see if that maybe her boots/shoe articulation might be more apparent than that of Luna.

But then, you have to ask the question as to what is going through the minds of these designers. You have a figure like Aranea that has a lot more articulation, accessories and intricate design, priced at $150. Then you have this figure which pales by comparison, starting at the same price.

So there is obviously something wrong here with the pricing model, right?

You are right about these hitting the bargain bin (I remember Luna hit the bargain bin pretty hard). But that is missing the point though. You have to ask why every figure in PAK line is getting priced (MSRP) so high to begin with. It doesn't make sense!!

I only said, that the Legs HAVE Articulation.
From your previous Post it sounded like you say "Only upper Torso is articulated"

I can see that this Articulation is Limited because of her Dress around the Legs.

But on Luna Freya, her Dress is...COMPLETE around the Legs.
While Aerith Dress is not; you could cut her Dress open
(Where the Buttons are, in Front) to give the Legs more Freedom.

And the Price is 150$ because it is a Play Arts Kai
Same Size, Same Joints, same Price.

But as i said, i by myself would never spend 150$ for a PAK.
Around 100$ at Nippon is more how i like it.
Aerith for 107$ at Nippon is a VERY FAIR Price.

And to be Honest; 100$-120$ is not to much for a PAK.

I could also complain: "Bring Arts is to expensive for me, 70$ for such a small Figure, IS NOT OKAY"
And lets get to the Point: 60$-70$ is still to much for a 6" Figure.
40$ would be okay for a Bring Arts Figure, but not 60$-80$

But as a true Collector you must accept those Price Ranges.

I spend thousand of Dollars for my KH / FF PAK Collection
(All Characters on Shelf and a another Copy of each Character still sealed in Package)
and i never did regret anything.

That's just it... I don't think true collectors should just accept price ranges, especially when the pricing is not reasonable.

Also, I am not sure why you think "cutting open" the dress to make room for articulation for a figure with a msrp of $150 is acceptable. Also, not to stress it too much, but don't you think its odd that they have almost few photos this time for Aerith compared to other figures? She doesn't even have a photo of her holding the weapon (probably because there is no dynamic pose that you can accomplish with her weapon in hand, given the limited articulation available below the chest).

I understand though that you love the line. As much as I complain, I do love it too because it was the very first line I started collecting. But to be entirely honest, over the years PAK has actually become unreasonable in its pricing. That is just the truth.

Clearly, if those were priced twice as much, you would still buy them then haha. You are essentially paying double price right now if you have two of each.

So I doubt it matters to you how high these are priced now. But for collectors like me who want to get the maximum for their money, PAK is not looking like its worth it (and I am saying this without even considering the quality control issues).

No, not 150$ (Or even 200$) for a Single one.
I could not afford that, i have much Money to spend, but iam not rich either.

I always pay 220 Euros - 230 Euros (Shipping and Tax already included)
for 2 PAK. US$ is a little bit more, depends on the Exchange course at Paypal.

    Once a new KH PAK is hitting the Nippon Yasan Store;
add to Cart, Character Twice, Checkout, 220$, Paid, done.

110€ for 1 PAK (Shipping included) is not really that much.
I could not afford a Single PAK for double the Price.
150€/$-200€/$ is to much, even for me.

I have added Thumbnails for proof, and Order steps.
(Transi Logistic for European Union as you can see)

At the present time, I'm doubtful any more Kingdom Hearts PAK will be made, since Square-Enix seems to be all aboard the Bring Arts line with them at this point.

The fact that we're still getting FF7/Crisis Core figures at this point seems to be based solely on the fact that they were in production already in anticipation of the REMAKE release which obviously has been stalled.

The DC/MARVEL releases have flat out ruined acceptable prices for PAK figures. Non-fans of the line rushed it to buy them and Square-Enix appears to have gotten a bit of a swollen head.

That is what i also believe.

But it will be decided next week on SDCC.
Because Square Enix ALWAYS Showed new KH / FF PAK or Bring Arts at big Conventions.

If the do not show anything new FF / KH Bring Arts or PAK at SDCC next Week,
i have my doubts that they ever will produce these again.

2018 is such a Dead Year concerning Figures.
Square made almost no Progress at all, only showing KH3 Bring Arts Riku.

ONLY 1 KH Bring Arts Figure in one Year, that is Pitiful. How long do i have to wait
to complete an entire Line with KH PAK / Bring Arts, if they only release 1 Figure per Year?

    Square can do better,
and they can push out more Figures per Year.
I really do not know what is going with them.

The new Bring Arts revealed were KH3 Kairi, DDD Neku, KH1 Cloud, and KH2 Sephiroth. No more PAK in the line as far as I'm aware.
