Possible SDCC 2018 Marvel Legends Red Skull with Electric Tesseract

Posted on July 2, 2018 at 9:34 am by Joe Moore under Marvel Toy News

Over the weekend, a (now deleted) post on the Hasbro Pulse Instagram Page briefly showed the packaging for a new Red Skull release. The large scale box is for a Marvel Studios: The First 10 Years – Red Skull and Electric Tesseract Marvel Legends Set, possibly as a San Diego Comic-Con 2018 Exclusive. Only the outer packaging was shown in the original post.

Look for a full reveal of the set soon. Click the banner image for the photo.

Okay, have not ready the comic, don't know anything about the character so this may be obvious to the rest of the world, but those droids looks like a DALEK and a CYBERMAN.

Glad to see the return of full articulation to star wars figures. Hope they do more like that. Would love to get some figures of the new trilogy and side movies in that style.

Yet more figures that I am happy not to need since I have not read the comic and have no emotional investment in the characters.

Should be in stores for like $30 (which would still be overpriced), instead SDCC for $50 and blink-and-you-miss-it on HasbroToySchlop some time later when you won't be online.

Meanwhile, the vintage retail releases contain repacks that often just sit there.

In my local area the new vintage collection figures actually did a decent job of moving through which I find funny given that, like you said, most are just repacks of figures which didn't sell too well the first time. I guess some people caouldn't resist the classic cardbacks.

Still haven't seen a Hoth Rebel Soldier in the wild. There have been plenty of snoke sightings, however.

Wow, this is the first newer Star Wars set I want. I love the comics they're putting out, and I'd love to get these three, but I wouldn't pay more than retail, so I guess I'll be missing out for a while. lol

I mean, they haven't shown the 6" Black Series exclusive either, so they're probably rolling things out one by one.

Ah, the topic confused me though since it just said Hasbro and I only could find Star Wars stuff on the link.

A friend showed me the comic these three were in and I had to laugh... if this was the expanded universe, I can understand why it is not canon now. A female bounty hunter dressed like Roxy Rocket from Batman who gives Vader the lip, a sadistic black repaint C3-PO, and murderbot R2-D2 with hilarious armaments? Oh and throw in the black-furred Nemesis Chewbacca too. These characters are like they came out from some edgy fanboy's fanfic.

I haven't read the comics but they are canon currently. Part of the new Marvel run post Disney.

I haven't read them either but yes Aphra and her group are part of the new canon.

Honestly if we're comparing things to the old expanded universe there's been a lot of really weird out-there stuff so thinking that these designs are lame/goofy doesn't even come close to some of the absurdity people used to call canon.
