Posted on June 18, 2018 at 8:53 am by Joe Moore under Marvel Toy News

Over the weekend, official photos popped up for the Marvel Legends 6″ Scale Deadpool Wave 2 Figures. This assortment features a Sauron Build-A-Figure. There are also some additional, sure to be, fan favorites like Omega Red in the wave. The figures included are:

  • Deadpool in Boxers
  • Bishop
  • X-Men Deadpool
  • Lady Deadpool
  • X-23
  • Omega Red
  • Sauron – Build-A-Figure

The images come via Flyguy. No release date has been shared at this time, but the source link claims that July 1st could see pre-orders go up. You can see them after the jump.

Sucks that I only care about 2 main figures in the wave but have to buy the whole thing just for Sauron.

These guys are destroying me... can't keep buying full waves so close from each other.
I do hope that SDCC exclusives really suck. Otherwise I won't have any money for them!

BTW, could someone enlighten me regarding the extra head and hat that come with the x-force deadpool?

That X-23 looks very nice! I'll have to get the previous version too just to try that extra head on her.

Curious. Does anybody actually want all these Deadpool figures? It's getting a little out of control.

Those belong to Madcap. I don't know the full details but it was eventually revealed that one of the voices in Deadpool's head was actually Madcap trapped inside of him.

Edit: sorry if this is nitpicking but the X-force Deadpool is his grey costume which we got in the first DP wave, this is the costume he made when he wanted to help the X-men deal with a publicity issue.

I'm totally new to Legends and want these. Big Deadpool fan. It was the Deadpool 2 wave that made me pull the trigger and buy some Legends.

No nitpicking. For some reason I still wrote "force" when I was clearly reading his shirt.
God knows what was I thinking at the moment...

Genuinely surprised that Lady Deadpool is a double-pack and Casual Deadpool isn't. Curious to see how that affects the wave on the shelves (if at all).

Madcap was actually a Captain America villain. Basically, he was just a regular guy who was super religious when the vehicle he was in crashed into an AIM chemical truck, killed everyone onboard except him. Chemicals from the truck give him a crazy healing ability and also to cause insanity to people around him.

He comes to in the hospital, finds out his girlfriend (or wife, I forget) died in the accident, tries to kill himself, survives the impact, and completely loses it. He buys a harelquin costume and a bubble gun and goes around using his powers to cause insanity to make people go nuts and tells everyone they should go cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs because life's pointless. He uses the bubble gun so people think that's what's causing people to go insane.

Cap stops him, then later he runs into Ghost Rider, who used his Penance Stare on him and he actually liked it because he actually felt pain.

EDIT: It's not a harlequin costume, but it was bright purple and yellow.

Huh. I've only ever known him from the Dan Ketch era of Ghost Rider. Didn't know he was originally a Cap villain.

That's a good rundown on Madcap. According to the internet he became absorbed into Deadpool in a retcon where Thor burnt them both to ash at once and they reformed into one Deadpool, apparently a similar incident separated them.

Same here, really don't need/want all these deadpool figs (just having the classic version is enough for me) but Sauron does look cool. I'm hoping I can score the parts on eBay

Agreed, they really need to space these releases apart a little!

You can buy the figures and sell them while keeping the baf pieces you need or you can look for the bafs on the secondary market. There isn't really ever a need to buy figures you don't want if you're patient enough. With the more recent bafs, actually the longer you wait, most of the time, the cheaper it becomes.

Holy crap, Deadpool comes with an alternate Madcap head/hat! That's blowing my mind, and making him a must-buy for me. I wish the base figure looked a bit more like Madcap's outfit, but sine I'm sure there's zero chance we'll ever get a legit Madcap figure, I guess this is the best I can expect.

I also love that Deadpool is punting Madcap's head in the packaging. That's fucking hilarious.

Shit, I thought I was getting a break on ML stuff for a while, but out of this wave I want (at least) underwear Deadpool, Lady Deadpool, and now X-Men Deadpool/Madcap.

More Deadpool figures are always a plus in my book...except these two. I kind of, might maybe pick up the boxer shorts version at some point if I find him on the shelf, but the other reminds me far too much of everything I’ve hated about the way almost everyone (save Rick Remender) has written the character since Gail Simone lost the position (I personally thought her DP was just too damn domesticated in comparison with the character-defining, barely-contained ball of rage depicted by Joe Kelly, but vastly preferable to the subsequent Nicieza and Way runs...).

As for the rest, I’ll be eagerly awaiting Bishop and Omega Red, and will probably pick up a Lady Deadpool at some point (“Headpool” is going straight into the garbage, though). I’ve always loathed both X-23 and Sauron, though, so I have no cause to feel compelled to complete the wave for the BaF or any other reason.

I can't get rid of the gray Deadpool for shit. I had to just take him off ebay because with the Paypal, shipping, and ebay fees, it just isn't worth it to sell him less than $15.
