I haven't played doom since ... 1993? I don't remember the Cyberdemon looking quite like that, and I thought they didn't have it in later Doom games.

This is DEFINITELY a man-cave piece. LOL Don't see this sitting on a coffee table surrounded by lacy doilies.

The Cyberdemon was a boss in both Doom 3 and Doom 2016. This is based on the 2016 version, or possibly the upcoming Doom Eternal.

Also in Doom VFR, and it was a blast to fight him in that one.

Cool. I’ll have to YouTube it sometime. Doom was a huge part of my life 25 years ago. Funny enough, I HATE playing FPS now. Video games are hard enough as it is in general for me to play with nerve damage, but FPS require a lot of joystick and button pressing that just isn’t worth it for me. Still can button mash fighters enough to beat my kids in games.

Dammit! I was hoping for an actual figure instead of a statue. Still very cool, though.

The 2016 Doom reboot would have been right up NECA's alley. Bummer they never grabbed the license. I'm actually surprised by the overall lack of merchandise...sure, there's been some Funko stuff and some statues, but the only actual figure released was that 1/6 scale Marine by 3A, and that costs a fortune.

I believe the inquired about the license, but Bethesda didn't want to license it at the time. they opted for higher priced statues and a figure from 3A instead.

I can't find his reply, as he quotes tweets instead of replying to them, so there's no easy way to search their timeline.

Oh man...talk about a missed opportunity. I'm so bummed by this news. Bethesda done fucked up.
