Ubisoft Partners with Xtreme Play For Figures, Statues and More

Posted on May 22, 2018 at 1:41 pm by Joe Moore under Video Game Toy News

A new press release announces plans for Ubisoft to license their brands to Xtreme Play. They will produce a series of figures, statues, replicas and more based on Ubisoft brands such as Assassin’s Creed, Rayman, Far Cry and more. Look for the first products to be available some time this Fall. Check out the press release below.

Xtreme Play Partners with Ubisoft® to Create Collectibles Based on Top Games

Figures of Ubisoft’s best-selling video game franchises expected to arrive at U.S. retailers late Fall 2018

Xtreme Play will develop, manufacture and distribute high-quality collectible lines of figures, statues and replicas for Ubisoft, one of the world’s leading interactive publishers in the video game and entertainment industry. Xtreme Play will create figures of Ubisoft’s best-selling video game franchises, including Assassin’s Creed®, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six® Siege, Tom Clancy’s The Division® 2, and Beyond Good and Evil™ 2, among others. The first products from Xtreme Play are expected to arrive at U.S. retailers late Fall 2018.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Ubisoft, a leading producer of sought-after video games, to deliver specialized products targeted to the adult collector market,” said Jaimie Kondos, Senior Brand Manager, Xtreme Play. “With the gaming category’s 18% increase year over year, we know there is an avid fanbase clamoring for products that celebrate the characters and worlds that they have become immersed in.”

“This partnership with Xtreme Play will amplify the immersive worlds our fans love in our games, and allow them to experience and collect their favorite characters in new ways with these new high-quality, unique and innovative collections,” said Sarah Buzby, Vice President of Consumer Products, Ubisoft.

Any Assassin's Creed news is great news! Really hope they do an Evie and Jacob statue set.

Wonder what scale and articulation for the figures?

Ray-Man is someone I've wanted since the mid-90s, so that is welcome! And I definitely want to see some Seed Siblings from Far Cry 5! AND a Sam Fisher! And hey...while we are at it, Aiden Pearce from Watch Dogs!

I take it this means JazWares and McFarlane lost the Assassin's Creed license...

I'd be up for a Sam Fisher and a Prince of Persia. Unless they're some weird 5-inch scale.

The way I read this is that this is a very general merchandise agreement, so they could be doing figures of multiple scales.

I will buy any and all Watch_Dogs figures most likely.

Are they a brand new company?

I'd definitely be interested in some BG&E merchandise, especially if they cover the first game too.

I wish I had more info or examples to share. But Xtreme Play looks to be a completely new player in the toy/collectible market. Their website is simply their logo with a link to email their sales/licensing department.

He'd be interesting to see made what with his lack of limbs. I suppose a single base with multiple clear armatures holding his pieces would get the job done.

I've always wanted a bunch of different Sligs around my desk space since I played the first Oddworld, at least one of each variety unless it was too expensive.

So this is the death of the Jazwares line that never even really got off the ground. The only 4 figures produced stay sold out and one of those is not even in the assortment being sent to TRU and I count count on one hand the number of people I have seen post that actually own an Ezio figure for Jazwares.
