Prime 1 Studio William Statue From NIOH

Prime 1 Studio has revealed their NIOH – William 1/4 Scale Statue. This is based on the 2017 action role-playing video game developed by Team Ninja (Dead or Alive, Ninja Gaiden) for the PlayStation 4 and Windows. The character is loosely based on real life sailor William Adams, who became the first Englishman to visit Japan. Shipwrecked there in 1598, William settled down in Japan, eventually becoming the first Western Samurai. William is shown in his Samuari armor, crouched atop a themed base. The statue itself stands at 14″ tall.

A Standard Edition and a Deluxe Edition will be available. With the Deluxe Edition, fans will get an alternate base, and Saoirse, the Guardian Spirit that guides William on his journey in the game. William is the main protagonist of Nioh, growing up in a remote Irish village, he meets a guardian spirit called Saorise who was born from human prayers. His guardian spirit saved him from death and now prevents him from dying and gifted him with the ability to see the normally invisible spirits. William Adams is an English navigator who served under the Tokugawa regime after being shipwrecked in Japan. He helped propagate trading throughout the country and became one of the few known foreign samurai.
