Pacific Rim: Uprising – SOFVI Spirits Shrikethorn Revealed

Posted on March 23, 2018 at 7:54 pm by Joe Moore under Robot and Mecha Toy News

In a new magazine scan, the next Pacific Rim kaiju figure coming from Tamashii Nations has been revealed. The magazine scan showcases the Pacific Rim: Uprising – SOFVI Spirits Shrikethorn. The scan, which comes courtesy of @TendouToys, reveals that pre-orders should go live on April 13th, with a release set for some time in August. Shrikethorn will be priced at 5,400 Yen (about $51 USD). The figure joins the previously released Raijin in the SOFVI Spirits line. This vinyl figure line allows for highly detailed (though only slightly articulated) kaiju to go with the Robot Spirits Pacific Rim figures.

We will update when more official photos and further details are released. Click the thumbnail for a better look at the figure.

Am I the only one who is open to the idea of introducing Godzilla and friends to this line?

MonsterArts is just a dead husk these days with like one or two exciting releases every other year, and they will never be able to make more Showa monsters, so why not try and see how the market reacts to highly detailed vinyl figures with basic articulation at the same scale?

Would have been cool if Bandai did line like Godzilla 2014 24 inch figure with some articulation and sounds, but still being affordable (under 60$). I would love big Shin Godzilla and King Pandon.
