Mezco Ghostbusters One:12 Collective Box Set

I just don't like them. The outfits look to bulky and the likenesses are off.
I want to like this so bad.
Man, I am a huge Ghostbusters fan, but these still just aren't doing it for me. I think it's the ill fitting flight suits and the straps on the proton packs. I'm mostly ok with the head sculpts and accessories. Though it does bug me that the flight suits are missing the yellow hoses on the left leg. I'm a stickler for the details on the GB gear. I'll stick with my Blitzway for now, I might regret not getting these but $300 for this set is a good price.
The standard Winston and Ray heads aren't bad. But the other two, and the screaming heads didn't come out too well.
They could't even get the goggles to fit on Ray's head properly. I know Mezco's whole thing is soft goods outfits but damn these just look sloppy and that is a massive shame. The outfits look so ill-fitting and bulky it makes them look like early prototypes. I kept hoping they would tailor the suits a bit more and figure out why the Proton Pack straps looked so awkward. Throwing them in a $300 set to me says they were worried these wouldn't sell individually enough to make all 4...
Also...the logo is missing the chin. The ultimate nitpick but I mean come on...
Horrible likenesses on everyone. Venkman looks like young Archie Bunker, Egon looks like David Cronenberg, Ray looks like Danny Huston, and Winston looks like Robert Townsend circa The Meteor Man. It's fucking terrible.
I honestly don't think the likenesses are that bad at all, I'd definitely say Ray and Peter's are pretty good. I'm in, I usually don't like Mezco but I'm not in the market for an $800+ set of Blitzways, so these will do me fine. I wish they came with some proton effects or if the entire set of them came with additional accessories or another ghost or something but I'm happy with these. Maybe I'll pick up the DS library ghost or some others.
It will interesting to see the final product on these. I know some things will change and I'm assuming we will get the car sometime in the future. what do ya think the aftermarket price is going to be on this set?
