DC Collectibles Doomsday Clock Action Figures Revealed

Posted on February 15, 2018 at 1:45 pm by Tony_Bacala under DC Toy News

Toy Fair 2018 is coming up fast, and DC Collectibles have shared out their first look at new figures based on the ongoing Doomsday Clock story line. The book is an official merging of the Watchmen and proper DC Universe realities, with characters from Watchmen crossing over and interacting with Batman, Lex Luthor and more. These first round of figures focus on the Watchmen with Dr. Manhattan, Ozymandias, Rorschach, Comedian, along with newcomers Mime and Marionette. The figures will be 6.75 / 7 Inch scale, which if the same is what the Designer Series Capullo figures were and the upcoming DC Essentials figures will be. DC Collectibles go-to scale. They’ll release in 2 packs retailing for $50.00 USD – Doctor Manhattan and Ozymandias, Rorschach and Mime, The Comedian and Marionette.

The only good thing to come out of this, I suppose.

Hmm, these do look better than the Matty Collector release in some regards. I have all those and love them but looks like I'll have to grab a couple of these as well. Just wish some of Moores other works got figures, would really like some League of Extraordinary Gentleman figures... that's a pipe dream.

DC Collectibles still cannot figure out the pricing of their figures. Collectors, generally hate two packs - both characters are not always wanted. If you want one character, you will have to pay $50 to get it. These will sit on comic shop shelves for years, if comic shops bother to order them.

I might have to jump on Rorschach ! even though it's a 2 pack..... ughh

Feels like a crime that Rorschach only has one head/mask design but that's a nitpick. They're pretty tempting though the arms still look long on this new batch. Just wish the scale was more desirable for me.

2 packs for all these figures? Man....what the hell? Why do they gotta be 2 packs for all of them? Plus it's not like all these figures will have extra hand accessories which is lame only one who looks like it is Rorschach the rest don't have any other hands. Only wave which would make more sense is having Mime and Marionette since they are husband and wife but they aren't even together in the two pack they're paired with different people. Also I hope Marionette doesn't have those big black circles on the back of her shoulders in the final product along with that split in her arms that it shows on the back of them. Idk feel mixed on the two pack on these characters still they look good but not having extra accessories even extra hands or heads really kills the price point.

Agreed even if this isn't the original Rorschach still he needs extra heads even more hands along with the others. Still they look great despite their size being almost 7 scale. I don't mind Doctor Manhattan being at 7 inch inches but the rest I do just seems odd

Was expecting at least something for the BTAS line... Joker & Harley expression packs have been known for a while :/
I might get that Rorschach though.

I think that line is dead, sadly. Hopefully they'll at least remember to go back and release Two-Face and Scarecrow from BtAS, otherwise the line will end being two figures shy from a complete main lineup.

One word...LAME! Seriously, is this it? Where are the figures! I dig the Chris Uminga and Gerard Way statues, but that's about it. Batman the Animated series line appears to be done. Really disappointed in this, looks like another year where DC won't get any of my money.
Also, that Red Hood statue is hideous! Whatever artist drew The Red Hood this way should NEVER be allowed to draw him again. Makes the whole design look ugly, I mean that grin is ugly as hell. Bad show for DCC

That is by Kenneth Rocafort. He was the artist on Red Hood and The Outlaws when it launched during the New 52. I actually quite like his art a lot, but it didn't really work for that book. I've always wanted to see him on a classic Teen Titans line-up.

    Yeah... :/
Still hope they'll deliver with at least those two missing main vilains.
    Beyond that...

How much is the Jason Fabok Trinity Statue going to cost? Any estimates based on previous releases?

It's for preorder on BBTS for $344.99.

I would be cool with spending $50 on a 2-pack with Marionette and Mime, but I don't need another Rorschach and I don't want that Comedian figure. So I pass on these unless I can get them for dirt cheap.

I'm bummed out that they apparently aren't finishing the B:TAS line and I'm not really impressed with essentials so far.

Man, what a lousy new design for the Trinity statue. I really preferred the original (the one shown here). I've been waiting on it since it first showcased, so I'm sorta disappointed. The price seems fair though, so I guess there's that...

I have a bunch of Red Hood and the Outlaws books, but yeah I didn’t like the art at all. I’ve liked Jason Todd for a long time, so I wanted to support the book...but man it was hit or miss. I liked the Death of the Family story arc, and the League of Assasins kind of had him as the leader for a minute, that was kinda cool. Some of the covers were great as well. Just hated that they resigned the character so much, remember those awful blades on the arms? Notice they didn’t add that on the statue. I like the Rebirth design, they seem to have brought back the older design helmet, no grin!
