Lando ... what happened? You used to be so cool!

I might get the trooper, pass on the rest.

Kind of ironic that the “Solo” toys article doesn’t have a picture of the actual Han Solo toy in the header, but anyway...

Lando Gloverissian: Eddie Murphy Eyebrow: The Reckoning

Range Trooper was like "whatever props and costume parts we have lying around, let's a make a new trooper out of them".

The rest will peg warm for the latter half of 2018.

Why does the Han Solo look more like Sam Witwer than Alden Ehrenreich?

I kinda already assumed that we'd see the Kessel run in the movie, but I suppose this confirms it.

So...Han gets the face print treatment while the rest don't?

If Hasbro is going to continue to be this inconsistent with their Black Series line like this, I'm out for good. Their character selection, as well as their distribution has already been bad for years.

These character designs look pretty awful. Not really expecting much out of Han, but hipster Lando is lame, as does that overcompensating storm trooper.

Fully expecting these to be keeping company on the shelves with Cassian, Jyn, Finn, and Zuvio four years from now.

I like the main cast alright, grant it we haven’t actually seen them in action yet so ther is no real attachment, but what’s with the range trooper? He looks like junk yard cosplay. Is his helmet a repurposed toaster?

Lando was such a great character in the trilogy. He had charisma, and he always had a smile on his face. Not sure how well Donald Glover will portray him, but that figure doesn’t look like Lando. A better expression would have gone a long way. He looks more like that Donald Glover commercial where his face never changes.

I thought the Rogue One designs were disappointing (homeless people), but these are sad.

Upon REALLY zooming in...you might be right.

I guess all Hasbro plans on printing is the eyes and lips though.

Seriously disappointing when compared and considering how well they have done with the vast majority of the new Legends figures.

I didn't mind Rogue One so much. They needed to blend in with the repressed and super desperate society that they lived in, so it made sense.

    These though...uh...

I don't mind Han or Qira...although Qira looks more Blade Runner than Star Wars.

It's the other two. That's not Lando...that's the barista I saw at Barnes and Noble's earlier today. And I'm pretty sure that Stormtrooper was one of the looters that ran off with Akeem and Semi's luggage in "Coming To America." He looks like he wants to sell you a watch or gold toothbrush out from under that fur coat.

Either that or he was late in picking up his snowtrooper uniform that morning and had to take whatever bits that was left behind.

Reports are that Disney does not have high hopes for this film. With designs like this, they really have no one to blame but themselves.

I absolutely agree about the frustratingly inconsistent distribution, but how can you claim that the character selection for the Black Series is bad ?

Granted, it took far too long for Hasbro to give us a well-rounded lineup (largely due to poor choices, like including only four characters in the initial waves), but these days, not only are the OT and new movies well-represented, we even have a nice selection of characters from the Rebels animated series, as well as EU characters like Revan and Jaina Solo.

Until recently, the only glaring absences I could think of were the remaining ESB bounty hunters (but a few of them will be hitting stores pretty soon, so that's no longer an issue), a few prequel trilogy characters (like Padme, Mace Windu, Dooku, etc), and maybe a few Mos Eisley Cantina aliens.

Sure, I hated having to wait FAR too long to finally get certain characters, like Ahsoka and Lando, but I think that the selection has finally become, at worst, adequate.

I think my disdain for their character selection as of late has more to do with the characters (and multiple versions of them) from the newer movies, and some poor choices of side characters which have caused to put in plastic form, as well as the incompleteness of some of the teams.

For example, we never got Bhodi from Rogue One, but we got two different Cassian figures. There's far too many Kylos and Reys at this point. Who was Zuvio again? Rose was nice, but did we really need Finn in the FO disguise? How about making Rose in the FO disguise as well instead of her rebel gear? DO we really need a DJ? He was in 2 minutes of the movie. We still haven't gotten Zeb, Chopper and Ezra, (or any of the Inquisitors who I guarantee would be hot sellers,) and now that the show is about to be concluded, I fear we're not going to. Where are the battle droids from the prequels? And so on....

I'm glad over some of the figures we're getting...but they are taking far too long to get there at this point. My interest is starting to wane already, and we still haven't received a proper Mace, Dooku, and Grevious, yet, we have ANOTHER Stormtrooper, only this one just walked straight off the set of Pootie Tang. How freaking long does Hasbro expect us to army build troopers, because lately, it feels like that's all I've bought!

Cool, cool, cool. Totally understand your frustrations now.
Lol, yeah, I absolutely hated Del Toro's DJ character, and I'm still irritated that he received a figure too. I've only seen him on a single occasion, since most stores are too busy putting their Black Series on clearance, and aren't stocking the newer waves. Despite his scarcity, I assume he'll be selling for $5 or less on Amazon, or showing up in large quantities at TJ Maxx, lol.
