New look at SH Figuarts Street Fighter from Tamashii Nations 2016

Anyone know if these can mix with the old Sota figures?
So I hope for Ken, Laura, Cammy, Bison and Nash to be next.
odd choice...for a guy in ONE game...
I hope his lack of popularity doesn't hurt sales for the line...
i can think of 15 different characters off the top that SEEM like they would be better sellers than this guy..
the ONLY reason I'd buy this is to complete the line..and with SF..i would complete the line..
looks cool ..even though the colors are drab...
Man this was a gut punch as I was hoping Figuarts were sticking to the original characters, I get that Capcom wants to push its newest game, it just sucks that it was the least exciting of the series. I hope they don't give older characters their SFV look as Storm is already filling that hole.
Oh well fingers crossed that they only make the SFV characters that appeared in that game and give us classic renditions of the rest of the crew.
Rashid? No thanks, can’t stand that character.
Rashid is actually a lot more popular than you guys think he is. I'm sure enough of his fans will buy him. I hope they announce another character next month.
Oh I'm not hating on Rashid. I just don't like we are seeing SFV figures so soon from figuarts. I was hoping for a mix of old and new, but assumed old would come first.
When I saw the background behind Chun Li and Ryu I figured they were going with that route. It should be fine though since there's plenty of classic characters in the roster any way.
I'm not at all surprised that Rashid is one of the first - he's essentially the closest thing SFV has to an overall storyline protagonist.
The upside to releasing this line is that we can't have more than one Ryu release with the exception of Evil Ryu. So if these line really goes thru, O'man, O'man. Its going to be a bonanza. This will totally defeat SOTA's line.** Crossing fingers**.
I am a little confused by some of the comments here. I see people wanting classic characters but usually everytime a company starts a Street Fighter line we always get a Ryu or Chun li and people complain "oh boy another Ryu" but here comes a brand new character and folks still aren't happy. One of the main reasons the Kick Starter figures didn't takeoff because people were complaining about "another Ryu". I'm personally happy to see another SF line although I don't think these ones are that great looking and have my money on Storm Collectibles. Just glad they're putting out different characters or at least one.
Storm Collectables stuff looks better
Either way the line is gonna do fine, Just buy the characters you want. Tamashii Nations will make some awesome figs in due time.
I feel like I'm the only one looking forward to Rashid. I would have liked an M. Bison more, but I'm happy to see some new characters get attention.
Plus, if this does well, we may get them to make Darkstalkers.
Or maybe even go back to KOF and not fail.
As for the desires for classic characters only to gripe when we get Ryu, it's simply because in the original SF2 series, there were 16 characters (17 if you include Akuma) yet developers seem content to only give us five of them, and it's almost always the same five (Ryu, Ken, Chun, Guile, and Akuma.) There are plenty of other characters with huge followings (such as Sagat, Blanka, Vega and Cammy for example) and still yet, a character that to this day has still never been done that is a gaping hole in many SF fans collection (Dee Jay.) Yet every time, it's the fab 5 and often at times, color variations of them. Yawn.
I'm glad to see a new character in Rashid, but unfortunately, I just have nothing invested in him as honestly, I feel that SF5 is the weakest game in the series next to the original SF. Had this been Juri though, I would be all over it.

I'd lose my mind if SHF did some Darkstalkers and/or KOF.
Personally, I think Storm is doing a better job nailing the graphic style of the SFV designs, and Rashid looks more in line with the Super Turbo/classic design of their Ryu and Chun. Very interesting. I think I prefer the more stylized approach Storm is taking, but I appreciate seeing a more toned down version of the newest characters. I was totally expecting SHF to be hitting the SFII roster first before branching to the rest of the cast, while Storm does the SFV crowd. Though this gives me a little more hope that a classic costume Urien and maybe even Oro will get made sooner rather than later if they're gonna be jumping around. But then again, Rashid has jumped to being nearly the 3rd fan fav character from my impressions.

Still blows my mind that DeeJay hasn't been made yet. And since he's not part of the SF5 roster this could ultimately mean he's lucked out again. Hopefully not though.

Still one of the coolest things Capcom did for a character design.
"What is the longest word that will fit on a character, but can be read from either direction?"
I have no idea when we will see him in figure form, but I did enjoy him as a kid I mean who doesn't love Jamaican Kickboxing?
Too bad we couldn't get him in the Sota line :/
