Rampage Movie Toys Revealed by Lanard Toys

Posted on January 4, 2018 at 11:47 am by Joe Moore under General Toy News

Thanks to @Aeimnestos87 on Twitter, we now know who is producing Rampage Movie toys. He has shared a photo showing three packs from Lanard Toys for the figures. I was able to track down some Walmart.come listings with official high resolution in-package photos as well, giving us a look at even more sets. Each monster is part of a special set, much like their Kong: Skull Island toys. As with the Kong sets, these appear to be based on their The Corps toy line, putting these about 3.75″ scale. These include:

  • Canister Contact Ralph
  • Canister Contact Lizzie
  • Big City Brawl George
  • Big City Brawl Lizzie
  • Big City Brawl Ralph

No word on release date or pricing, as the listings appear to be unfinished. You can see the photos by reading on.

Wish the film makers designed Lizzie and Ralph to be more humanoid like in the game.

Awesome! Perfect company to handle this1 Those monsters are great I'll probably grab them all! They'll work great with just about any line that needs to monsters to fight-

I'll pick up a few monsters if they look ok in person. Don't have a need for any of the other stuff.

Maybe Lizzie was changed to look less like Godzilla to avoid IP problems. Can't think of any reason they would have to change Ralph though.

Ralph is grey for the box art, but the toys are brown. Could there be a variants down the line?

Glad to see Lanard landed another movie license.

They did a great job with Kong Skull Island and at exceptional price points. They seem to dig the monster madness too. Holding the 3.75 military fort down.!

    Thumbs up!

Ditto! The monster figures look great, too. Just generic enough to mesh with other figure lines as-well.

Big City Brawl Ralph and Lizzie look pretty good, might have to pick those up. The rest are a bit of a pass, but I hope they still do well on market!

Is it safe to assume these are Walmart exclusives as well?

100% agree with you. The monsters in the “Rampage” movie are nothing like the game. In the game, they were humans that turned into monsters, which is more interesting IMO. In the movie, they’re animals that become very big.

Somebody wants to set up some Godzilla vs King Kong action.

Well um no y'see what we have here are toys of toy guns, because of course the best way to stop a giant monster is with a toy so look for that to be in the movie. Seriously though, yeah what's up with that? Unless maybe they were going for the effect that they were supposed to be that color from firing? Like maybe this is Lanard's way of doing muzzle flare or something like that.

These look great my only question is does that mini chopper open up or is it a drone.

That Big City Brawl! Genetic Containment Division! George with Jaw Chomping Action! looks to be quite bit smaller in scale than the Big City Brawl! Genetic Containment Division! Lizzie with Jaw Chomping Action! and the Big City Brawl! Genetic Containment Division! Ralph with Jaw Chomping Action!

(exclamation marks makes everything more exciting!!!!!)

My guess is the chopper is a vehicle. It looks hinged at the front and has a couple of plastic bands to keep it closed shut (or possibly only to fasten the armaments & rotor). Plus the figure is decked out like an actual chopper pilot with a chute harness than a drone operator.

Considering I was gonna get a Kong for a custom George anyway, I'm totally down for this.

I do wish they had a classic line too, but I'm still happy these are happening.
