Overall
This set features multiple pieces that allow for quick and easy set up. Each main panel is 12″ high and about 20″ wide. The panels can be mixed and match to create dozens of different displays. The Asylum pop-up is one of their most elaborate displays. This set includes functional doorways, two pillars, multiple floor panels, and a jail cell wall with cut out prison bars. With the cut out pieces and working doorways, you can get a surprising amount of depth in your displays, allowing for multi- room set ups, which works really well in photos. Extreme Sets took care to think about the type of figures that would be used in this display. One of the panels include great nod to the Joker, while the nature of the overall display works well for numerous horror and sci-fi figures. Printing is incredibly sharp and detailed, and the panels fit together perfectly.
Flooring is a great addition here, which adds that final touch of realism. Unfortunately, these panels seem to use a thinner cardboard, which resulted in warping. If that happens, tacking it down will help keep it as flat as possible. The included pillars are easy enough to assemble. They simply fold out and stand without any trouble. The addition of those two pillars adds a nice extra bit of depth to the display. You can place them however you wish, up against walls, in the center of the room, as decorative elements around the doors, etc.
The Sylum Pop-Up Diorama is their most ambitious interior display to date. The cut out walls and working doors offer great depth for photography or display.
