Some FYE Store Will Carry Super 7 Products

Posted on October 17, 2017 at 7:23 am by Joe Moore under General Toy News

Super 7 has announced a partnership with FYE, and some of their stores will begin carrying Super 7 products! It’s not mentioned which products specifically they will carry. Traditionally, Super 7 items are distributed by Diamond Comics for sale in comic shops. If that is any indication, FYE will likely carry their M.U.S.C.L.E., ReAction and some of their vinyl collectibles as well as their non-toy collectibles. Currently, there are 29 locations with more to be added. See the details below.

Super7 is happy to announce our partnership with FYE is now in 29 of their stores in the U.S.. Each of these stores has a Super7 curated section featuring a selection of our toys, drinkware, and apparel! The Super7 section can be found at the FYE locations in these cities:

I say this with a great deal of honesty.
    FYE is still around?

They are indeed and have become excellent spots for collectibles in my area.

Hey hey other KY folks on Toyark!!

I haven't made it out there in a couple years, but there are some great second hand toy shops out there. May need to check some out after Derby City Comic Con at the end of this month.

On Topic... Super 7 makes a ton of cool things, but I think them having the MOTU license is a double edged sword. I read this article in hopes some of the MOTU stuff would be mentioned and I am sure others did as well, despite that only being one of many licenses Super 7 have. I could tell Super 7 was already a little annoyed with things in the interview they did with Pixel Dan. After they spoke about MOTU the guy pretty much said "I know you only care about MOTU, but we have a ton of other stuff" he also pointed out that there have already been major issues and snags along the way for the first release of ultimates, yet people want to know about playsets, vehicles, and other stuff, to which he laughed and said IF we were working on vehicles right now it would still be 2 years until you would be able to purchase them and at the time the ultimates had literally just shipped. He just seemed really tired of having to appease the MOTU fan base and kept reiterating that they are just getting started with the brand and was not sure where it was heading.

Spot on. ive said this before myself on another thread. thats why super 7 is not a good choice for MOTU. dont know why they got the license if they dont seem happy. they push way more their own line than MOTu but the collectors want MOTU instead of their products which in reality isnt that good. never liked the 'worst' figs or muscle either. its like they got the MOTU line just to showcase their stuff also. could be a 'store front scheme' yeah we sell Motu but look what we got in the back lol im on to you super7.

by the way, FYE closed like 10 yrs ago here in Miami

I love The Worst figures, personally. They're so much fun. I got 'em all. In contrast, I give no shits about He-Man stuff, so whatever.

As for the new FYE deal, that's only a handful of stores in a handful of states in a chain that's seen better days (all the FYEs around me in NY closed recently). Not really a huge distribution deal or anything, but it's better than nothing, I guess.

I'm not a big MOTU fan myself, I just have learned over the past year how difficult it is to obtain them. I mean with what matty collector used to do and now super 7 doing preorder only, it makes these things really expensive on the after market. Plus everything He-Man sells in stores, it is really weird there is not more merch out there in stores for that license...

I'm not a ReAction fan at all but I do hope they continue their street fighter offerings.

I really miss having an FYE near me
That place was a goldmine for NECA, Diamond Select, and DC Direct figures.

Good observations. I don't know if the Super7 robots post here but I've always felt that they sell an awful lot of literal junk. When I think back to criticisms leveled at KB Toys, I can't help but see similarities between their model and Super7's. KB's model was to fill the store with junk that was cheap with no regard for desirability. That's why you'd go there and they'd have a single peg for Marvel Legends or a narrow sliver of wall space for TransFormers but an entire aisle of plastic army men buckets, barrels of those colored chimps whose gimmick was chaining together, or RoboCop 3 figures salvaged from a closed Big Lots. That right there is M.U.S.C.L.E. and ReAction in a nutshell. And for a little bit of barely colored bricks, they charge prices that people wouldn't pay for 25th GI Joe or SW Vintage Collection. It's amazing (or sad) that they're still a going concern.

17:50 is the point where they stop talking MOTU so you can see the guy's frustration. 21 minute interview talks MOTU for 18 minutes and highlights some other products for less than 3...

Thanks, I'll check this out later.

To be fair, Pixel Dan focuses on He-Man for his reviews, so it makes sense that would be what he would want to focus on. The Super 7 guy should have known this beforehand. Personally, I don't care for any of their own products, so I would find an interview about all of that boring.
