Fox’s Gotham TV show is a guilty pleasure. It’s a mix of campy 60s Batman and raw violence. The story is all over the place, forging it’s own way in a definitively alt-universe. It’s got a love hate relationship with the fans, but Diamond Select Toys figures for the series have been great. Series 4 has just been released, consisting of Mr. Freeze, Azrael, and Hugo Strange. Each come with a Diorama piece, which have all been fantastic since the start. Mr. Freeze and Azrael come with a repaint of Series 1’s two story alleyway piece. This time it’s got a brick tone to it with Joker themed graffiti. Hugo Strange comes with his laboratory chair so he can experiment on any 7 inch scale figure in your arsenal. Each also come with additional accessories which you can see in the pics after the break!
Overall Thoughts
Another round of well done figures. The paint and articulation is on point, and the 7 inch scale allows for some good detail. Mr. Freeze really pops in person, and Hugo Strange’s B.D. Wong likeness is awesome. The diorama pieces are all great, I’ll take as many city streets as possible. The experiment chair is great, it can easily be used in other scenarios down the road. The weakest is Azrael, but he was a tad doofy in the show too so not much to do there. The case for the sword is great as it opens and can be used as a prop for any 7 inch figure. His book is also well done, as it opens and closes on a peg. All in all, if you like Gotham or weird alt-verse Batman stuff, or just want some cool props for use in your 7 Inch universe, these are worth a pick up. They are out now at Comic Shops and select online retailers. The TRU versions don’t come with the Diorama pieces.

Gotham Select Series 4 In-Hand Photo Review - The Toyark - News

If they keep to the half season themed waves, I suspect:
series 5:
Tabitha Galavan
Jerome
Mad Hatter
series 6:
Leslie Thompkins (alt virus head)
Firefly
Ra's al Ghul
series 7:
Scarecrow
Poison Ivy?
Professor Pyg?
I have no idea why the sculptor would spend so much time doing great work and then use that crotch style.
also, you're not wrong about the show. more often than not the writing is amazingly questionable, but alas, I cannot look away. story lines are interesting, but the dialog is cringe worthy.
Those hips seem to be the DST standard.
Too bad Azrael only comes with the alt head in the deluxe version with another fire escape. I was hoping he'd come with the alley wall to support the fire escape I already have. I've no interest in Gordon, so even with Mr. Freeze I'd still be short one wall.
Looking at the photo with all of the figures together, it really makes me wish Barbara and Nygma had been planned and designed in outfits from their later appearances.
