It’s over 9000! Saiyan Saga Vegeta returns to the S.H. Figuarts lineup with an upgraded sculpt! The original was early on in the line and had some engineering issues, not to mention he was getting expensive on the secondary market. Vegeta’s been properly upgraded with new hip technology, a torso swivel and overall refinement. He comes with all the original features including a second head without the scouter slot, wrapped and free tail, folded arms, 4 faces, 3 sets of hands, crushed scouter hand, and the new second scouter with read-outs printed on it. Overall he’s a great addition to the DBZ SHF line up and gets us ready for the one we’ve been waiting on for a while, Nappa, due out in the States soon! Read on to check out over 40 shots of the new Saiyan Saga Vegeta!
S.H. Figuarts Dragonball Z Saiyan Saga Vegeta (New Sculpt)
Overall Thoughts:
I dig it. The face sculpt is sharper. He stands up, as the original had super loose hips. Posing is a pleasure here. The accessories are pretty much the same as the original. The printed scouter is a nice addition. The only thing that is a ding on the set is the weathering on the colors. There is none. It’s very saturated, with no weathering, so he looks a bit cartoony. DBZ SHF have been getting away from weathering on the figures, but it’s very noticeable here. The blue is also a tad deeper than all previous releases, so it stands out. All that aside though, it’s still a super solid figure and great addition to the line. If only for the fact that he’ll pair up with Nappa next month perfectly! Read on to check out some more shots!
