Toyfinity Robo Force and Mordles August 2017 Releases – Toyark Gallery

Posted on August 21, 2017 at 10:18 am by Joe Moore under General Toy News, Random Photo Shoot, Robot and Mecha Toy News

A slew of new items are available now from Toyfinity Toys. During NJCC they released their newest Robo Force, Zeroids and Mordles sets for fans to pick up. Also released were two new Nazarran brain sculpt colorways. You can pick these up directly from the Toyfinity Store. We have a huge gallery of over 80 photos of the new items! Here are details direct from Toyfinity and read on for the gallery.

For over a year, MAXX ZERO has been on a quest to find the PRIME ZEROIDS, in the hope that they can help him locate the rare element RYTON – the only thing that can defeat NAZGAR THE TYRANT and end his 1000 year reign of evil.

With data obtained from the FORGOTTEN ZEROID, Maxx has finally located ZINTAR THE EXPLORER on a planet far, far from ZETON. But an unexpected guest crashes the party – HUN-DRED THE CONQUEROR has found Maxx at last, recovered from his injuries and ready to settle the score with Maxx AND Zintar!
Hun-Dred will do anything to protect the long-lost secrets of the Zeroids – and the battle is ON!

The fighting is intense!
But Hun-Dred has grown too powerful under the influence of Compound 14 for even Maxx and Zintar to stop! It will take the power of twin Z-CORES to stop him, unleashing a robotic force upon the universe long rumored to exist – THE SUPER ZEROID!

I just don't get the appeal of these things. They look straight out of the 80's. I would expect to see these in a 25 cent toy capsule vending machine.

The idea is that they are supposed to be straight from the 80's. They are new, official releases of a classic toy line using the original molds. The Mordles themselves were so rare that collectors were paying near $100 each for them. Here's examples of the originals:

Basically, think of them as little murder victims.

Those clear looking ones are cool. I have the blue and yellow versions. I wish they would make the Rocks, Bugs and Things as well...

So I got the latest drop and decided to rework the colors a little bit to get a closer look to the originals. I may have to buy another silver and black set to get exactly what I'm looking for, though.

First is Maxx and Sentinel. If I buy another black set, I can make Maxx's arms black like the original. And since the original Sentinel had a lot of yellow, I decided to use the new yellow set for him. I think he looks awesome!

Next is the new character Vanquard along with a more color accurate Hun-Dred inspired by Matt Doughty from Onell.

Last is my version of Enemy. If I buy another silver set, I can make his shoulders silver to make him more accurate to the original. The character on the right is my version of Blazer. I'm still not completely happy with him yet. I think another silver set might help me realize my vision for him a little bit more.

So excited for the classic Maxx figures. Even if it meant only getting a couple of figures a year, this is how they all should be!

In the beginning, I absolutely hated the idea of Robo Force using the glyos system, but have since grown to love the new line. Classic Maxx only makes my appreciation for it even greater.

That's a character called Fangar. I believe he is from another Glyos compatible line.
