Godzilla: Monster Planet - SH MonsterArts Godzilla Announced

Man you learn about Netflix things in the oddest places.
Well... at least it isn't a Heisei figure...
Looks like a more interesting take on the 2014 design.

I really want to know which genius had the idea of putting up a figure for pre-order without adding any proper pictures of the product they're trying to sell.
Godzilla is a big enough name to let that fly but it's still kinda shitty.

Back when Godzilla 2014 was coming out, before they fully revealed their Godzilla, we kept getting Take Down notices from the film studio every time we reported on a toy that showed Godzilla.

I forgot this was a thing.
Yeah I mean how many people are gonna drop $90+ on a figure they haven't seen of a design they haven't seen?
It's fully revealed now!

All righty then. Now I'm definitely glad I didn't preorder him. That thing makes Shin look like a princess. I don't get this. Doing an anime Godzilla allows them to have freedom to do whatever they want without having an actual suit, and this fat blob thing is what they choose to go with? Why? Why not go for a more stylized thinner look?
I like the design overall. The head design isn't too bad at all. But the muscle texture is a little off putting. Classic style scales would probably have looked better to me.

I like him better than the Shin design at least.
I think he looks pretty cool. Personally I think he's just a different take on the American 2014 version, which isn't a bad thing.
The design is starting to grow on me, though im not so sure about the plant origin so far
