In the video game Dark Souls 3, the final boss is the deadly Souls of Cinder. The massive boss is seen as an manifestation of the various Lords of Cinder, sworn to defend the First Flame. In the game, he uses the combined abilities, weapons, and magic of the Lords of Cinder, making him very hard to defend against. The charred knight wields the Firelink Greatsword, a larger version of the Coiled Sword. The Souls of Cinder is imposing and memorable.
Gecco has released a massive 1/6 scale statue of the Souls of Cinder. They worked closely with FromSoftware to ensure the details were completely accurate to the in-game model. The statue stands over 17″ tall and includes the Firelink Greatsword, as well as two swords and a tattered banner that attach to the display base. Also included is a 1/1 scale Ember that includes it own magnetic base. At SDCC 2017, they will offer their exclusive Siegmeyer of Catarina Statue from Dark Souls. They have provided us with a the statue and we have 40 photos and a full review. Read on to check them out.

Overall
The Dark Souls 3 – Souls of Cinder Statue comes packaged in a massive box. Unlike their previous statues, this is a windowless box, featuring beautiful artwork on the front. For this release they packaged the statue in styrofoam as opposed to a plastic tray. Each piece for the statue is packaged well to prevent damage in transit. No diorama backdrop is included with this release. They normally print their instructions on those cardboard backdrops. For the Souls of Cinder, the instructions are printed on the inner flaps of the box. The box itself would make a nice display piece, but it’s large size will likely prevent many collectors from doing that.
You will need to do some minor assembly before the statue is ready for display, but it’s nothing time consuming. Once you start handling the statue, you will notice this has far more weight to it compared to other Gecco statues. For this, they cast the statue in polystone as opposed to using PVC and ABS plastic. While some of the accessories are made of plastic, the main Souls of cinder is the far heavier material. The base is also polystone. The build quality is great, with nothing feeling fragile, which can tend to happen on some of their other releases. The sculpted details are excellent and is a great representation of the in-game model. It’s not surprising that the paint work is pretty much flawless with heavy dark washes throughout and nice splashes of warmer color to simulate burning effects from the game.
The Souls of cinder was a large scale character in the game, and the statue reflects that. It stands over 17″ tall atop the display base. The pose is slightly crouched, so the statue actually looks even larger. Also included with the release is an Ember, which is life size. The Ember includes two display stand. One has a magnet to allow the ember to stand, while the smaller stand required the Ember be glued to it.
This turned out to be another winner from Gecco. From great sculpting, to expertly handled paint work. to nice accessories, the Souls of Cinder Statue is a worthwhile pick up for those who can afford it. The statue is shipping out now. It’s priced at $499.99. You can find ordering details Here. Check out some highlight photos below and see the full gallery after that.
