Bandai Japan / Tamashii Nations have been producing some really great alternate universe versions of classic Star Wars characters for a couple years now. The Star Wars Movie Realization line feature (to date) Empire aligned characters in ancient Samurai themes. So far we have 2 versions of Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Royal Guard, Sandtrooper, Sandtrooper Commander, and Stormtroopers in 3 samruai themed flavors. There are also more on the way with Jango Fett, Proto Armor Bob Fett, and Darth Maul.
Today we are taking a look at one of those Stormtroopers – the Yumiashigaru Stormtrooper – aka “The Archer”. He comes with sculpt that mixes existing Stormtrooper and Royal Guard bodies along with some new work on the head and shoulder guards. On the back, he sports his arrow pack and bow, which are both futuristic / steampunk in nature. This line mixes classic, futuristic and Steampunk-like styling giving it a unique look. At a beefy 7 inch scale, they have a great presence on any display shelf. Let’s take a look after the break with over 55 HD images!
