Prometheus: The Lost Wave – Vickers Near Final Figure

Posted on May 5, 2017 at 10:25 am by Joe Moore under Aliens and Predator Toy News

Check out a new photo of Meredith Vickers from NECA’s Prometheus: The Lost Wave. The figure is part of the resurrected Prometheus line, and showcases the near final blister card layout and what looks to be the finalized figure. She will be joined by Zombie Fifield and Dr. Elizabeth Shaw in the assortment. They are now scheduled for a June release.

In preparation for its upcoming sequel, Alien: Covenant, we return to Ridley Scott’s sci-fi thriller Prometheus!

At long last, this series includes the never-released figures fans have been requesting: Vickers, Shaw and Fifield. The 7” scale figures are entirely movie accurate and feature over 25 points of articulation. Vickers (Charlize Theron) comes with flamethrower and removable helmet. Shaw (Noomi Rapace) comes with axe, removable helmet and the android David’s severed head. Fifield (Sean Harris) comes with flashlight and removable helmet. Clamshell packaging.

Literally just pre-ordered these on BBTS. I was like "where the hell did these come from? No one showed promos for these and now they're up for pre-order?" Didn't think these would ever come out, but this has clearly been the year of NECA releasing stuff that we all thought was scrapped years ago.

Good to see these finally being produced. I still think Shaw should have been in wave 1. Definitely sign me up for a Shaw and maybe even a Vickers. I'll have to try and track down the android dude for a decent price. Though this long after his release I'm guessing he won't be cheap.

Now I can finally make customs of Noomi Rapace's & Charlize Theron's characters from movies that don't suck!

I really hope they fixed the wonky elbow setup issue with these (like the Apes figures) where the swivel is below the elbow instead of above it (basically creating the "spinning meat" effect on the forearms).

Aggh. This movie was so plain bad that the memory still hurts. It's one of those that you wish you could un-see. Word has it that the writers got their act together for the upcoming sequel.

Would Charlize Theron's head fit onto one of the Nostromo spacesuit bodies? I'd like to see the character wearing something that looks more like a traditional spacesuit.

I gave in after all these years and ordered the full set of previous Prometheus figures... I'm not that fussed on them truth be told, or even this set, but I got them for a good price and I fully expect their prices to go up now!

I just hope the Covenant line will produce more visually interesting figures than this one since I've doubled down...

It means I've now got every item in the Alien 7" line you'd reasonably wanna have. Currently at least... the 'jockey' would need to be on serious discount before I buy that.

Totally out of nowhere. It took me about a year to realize this was one of the worst movies of 2013. Anyone looking for a laugh, should check out the movie with the director commentary on. Ridley Scott seems to be in the grips of senility. Have a couple beers handy.

With that said, I could see myself picking up Shaw at some point. I still really love the space suits from this one.

Gotta know, what makes the Prometheus very bad movie?
I'm a lil bit lost on the reason 'why' part.

While a beautifully shot film, with some amazing visuals and some great overall ideas, there are some issues with the details of the script. Notably very odd and baffling decisions by some of the characters. They're more glaring the first time I watched them, but subsequent viewings have eased my issues a bit and allowed me to enjoy it for the overall ideas put forth and the visuals.

Wasn't a big fan of this movie, but it is super duper cool to see unreleased figures dug up and released. That almost never happens.

My biggest issues with it was that it was supposed to explain the derelect ship and the space jockey from Alien 1, but it didn't. The crew finds what we think is that same ship, but it just ends up being some other ship that's from the same line of ships, and space jockey was just another guy from that species. I'm worried that Alien Covenant is doing that again, as they find yet another one in the trailers.

Movie was fun to watch but It's not something I would watch often like I do Alien, Aliens Extended Cut, Aliens Director's Cut.... i watch those prob 5 times each a year. Prometheus, I've seen 3 times since it came out.

I really do want all three of these figures though, so glad they're getting released.

The movie never promised to explain anything like that, that was just all of us fans assuming since it was called a prequel that it would be a direct prequel. My biggest problem with the movie is the idiot characters who are supposed to be specialized scientists yet function like, well, idiots. The guy who made the map got lost and the biologist who got lost with him just goes around approaching and messing with unidentified foreign lifeforms.

Neca should do a Engineer figure but with the white muscles. Has anyone notice neca strays away from doing well sculpted human muscles on their figures. this is where marvel legends shine. neca's down side is their muscle sculpt on their figs.

Terrible Charlize Theron likeness, but it's nonetheless cool of NECA to finally release these figures. They always try to do right by their fans.

Yeah, that was a huge problem I had with the film as well, bearing in mind that this was a trillion-dollar endeavor staffed with the very best of the best that a mega-corporation like Weyland could find for an unprecedented mission, and half of them turn out to be fuck-ups and retards.

Im the opposite. I let that stuff slide at first but watching it a couple of more times since then and it really bugs me now.

I was hoping they were going to get to doing a figure of the engineer from the beginning of the film, that would've been great.

Disagree with your take on Neca. They've done plenty of figures that show off detailed musculature. The thing is they tend to be based on real people so they can't get too crazy with it. The Marvel Legends stuff is based on ideal comic book super hero anatomy so its really apples and oranges between the two.
And to add to that, their upcoming Superman and Batman figures do feature that exaggerated super hero anatomy and they look great. Comparable to any of the Marvel Legends sculpts, IMHO.
