Back in 2015, we shared details on a series of horror busts and statue resin model kits coming from Gecco. That series, designed by sculptor Dominic Qwek, was only available as unpainted kits. Due to requests from fans, Dominic Qwek is hoping to offer a fully painted polystone statue of the Cthulhu bust that was part of Gecco’s release. When sculpting Cthulhu, I wanted to create a sinister look yet exude grace and beauty. The ebb and flow of the forms are indicative of my style and it brings a unique take to this iconic creature.
The paint work gives this piece added realism and depth. Emphasis was placed on creating a look that compliments the forms of this sculpture.
Shown below are pictures of the production prototype. The bust that each backer gets will be of similar quality. There will be a slight variance to each one as they are individually hand painted.

Here's an idea.... Why not a large scale, highly detailed/articulated Cthulhu action figure? I mean how many busts and statues are there out there of this guy?
While I'm cheered by seeing a new Cthulhu toy (you showed me the same pick, Joe, when I made similar comments), I think they should go for something truly elite. Maybe make something 24" tall, to capture the spectacle/grandiosity of Cthulhu...I'm not bangin' on this fig, I actually hope they make good on this proto.
