Next up in our look at the most recent Black Series wave is Sabine Wren from Star Wars Rebels. Sabine, along with Kanan and Ahsoka last year are Black Series interpretations of the characters, a little less cartoony than their appearances on the show. All three have been fantastic entries into the line. Let’s take a look at Sabine and her colorful armor after the break courtesy of Dorksidetoys!

Overall Thoughts
Another solid Rebels entry to the line. I think these have hit the mark for me for an odd reason, especially since I am aware of it – they don’t have a point of reference to fail at. Whenever movie based figures get released, our first inclination is to judge it based on how they looked in the movie, and the actor’s face. Most often, a 20 dollar figure can’t live up to that. These Rebels offerings, and even Darth Revan, are coming from CGI or cartoon references, so the Black Series rendering of them is parallel or a step up in the detail department. On top of that, all 3 have had more complex sculpt and paint. Sabine here has a TON of paint, all well applied, on almost every part. I’m super happy with it and hope they continue the Rebels line up in this form over time.
