New pics and info for the upcoming Kojima Productions – Ludens Statue have been released by Prime 1 Studio. The statue is going to be massive, coming in at 1/2 scale and standing over 63″ tall! The statue will be extremely limited, with only 300 standard edition pieces being made available. Check below for more details, including info on the Exclusive Edition:

Prime 1 Studio & Kojima Productions are proud to present HDMMLU-01: Ludens 1/2 scale statue from Kojima Productions. Ludens, sometimes dubbed Ludence, is the Kojima Productions company icon and mascot. He wears an “extra-vehicular activity (EVA) creative suit”, and often carries a flag bearing the Kojima Productions logo which is based off Ludens himself. Ludens is prominently featured in a video titled “Kojima Productions logo movie”, where he treks into the unknown of space and plants the studio flag into uncharted lunar ground. Yoji Shinkawa was the principal designer of Ludens, having formulated the overall design and idiosyncrasies of the mascot. Ludens’ design has a high tech feel, giving him a nostalgic ambiance. The surface of his EVA suit has “Turing pattern”-like elements that slightly rotate, inspired by the Turing machine.

This is amazing. I really hope they partner with other companies to produce cheaper collectibles though cause prime 1 is way out of my range currently.
