New official images and details have been posted for the upcoming Ultimate Jungle Hunter Predator 7″ Scale Figure by NECA. The figure is a heavily upgraded version of their original Jungle Hunter, with plenty of new articulation. It will include swappable heads, interchangeable hands, a mask accessory, a plasmacaster blast effect, skull and more. Here’s even more info direct from NECA:
At long last, the classic Predators are back – and with some huge upgrades! From the original Predator movie, we present the definitive collector’s version of the Jungle Hunter.
The Ultimate Hunter has received the “Ultimate” treatment, including additional articulation in the biceps (bicep swivels), elbows (double elbow joints) and torso, plus an opening gauntlet! Comes with interchangeable heads and hands, plus skull and spine, mask, cannon blast effect, human skull, and removable backpack. Collector-friendly deluxe window box packaging with opening flap.
The Ultimate Jungle Hunter Predator is scheduled for release in April 2017. Read on for all of the new photos.
Looking pretty awesome! I'm especially blown away that it's coming with two heads...one masked, and one with a removable mask! When I saw early pics I assumed it was only coming with the head with the removable mask, so the inclusion of a separate head with a non-removable mask is absolutely fantastic. Full gallery here.

Ships April 2017. Can't wait for this or the Ultimate City Hunter. I love NECA.
Great job by NECA. That is simply the best Jungle Hunter ever! Only thing missing is an open mouth head but otherwise perfection.
Looks pretty rad, though I have a minor correction. It looks like that's the separate mask that came with the final showdown 2 pack (or whatever it was called) which was a separate, non-attachable piece. Regardless, it's looking pretty good!
I may pick this guy up. I have the open mouthed head from an older version, which I'd like to use as the display head, but I'm wondering about how much of a pain in the ass it'll be to get that head on the newer model (if at all).
Yeah the separate mask isn't going to be removable or wearable at all, it's just the mask that came with the final battle two pack so you can display it at his feet. If they had actually made it wearable/removable then this would be one of the worst predators they've done because either the face would be shrunken/scrunched or the mask would be oversized.

Thanks for sharing Dolemite
Ah, thanks for the correction, guys. That's good news about the mask...I agree that it wouldn't have worked that well, but I initially assumed that it was removable because the Predator had a closed mouth. I was actually confused by the inclusion of the second masked head, but it all makes perfect sense now.

Still, with that loose mask I can re-create that awesome scene in the first movie where the Predator first removes his mask with both hands, so there's that.
Cool, I have zero predators in my collection, might pick this up since it's from the first movie.
I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on this. Neca are doing a fabulous job with their ultimate line.
I think I'll check this out in person before ordering online, it's not like I'm short of Jungle Hunters...
I've been waiting for this guy for awhile now. Really glad they're doing these Ultimate releases for us newer fans.
Also, that box art looks amazing. The Predators have had some very visually-appealing packaging.

It's a shame they haven't added swappable expressions to these predators.
The pics all make his wrist blades look... curious, relative to other releases.
So how is this different from the Jungle Hunter Masked and Jungle Hunter Unmasked 30th Ann. figures also coming out? Am I correct that there are three Jungle Hunters coming out? Thanks-
Thank you, Joe! That makes sense now.
My way of getting the Ultimate ultimate Jungle Hunter!
The store by me already got them in today, despite NECA's shipping calendar stating that they only started going out to retailers yesterday! So, I picked up two, just as I just as I did with the City Hunter, due to all of the different display options available.

It's funny, but the Jungle Hunter seems to come with so much less gear/accessories than the City Hunter did, although that's in no way NECA's fault...it's just that the City Hunter in Predator 2 has so many more toys than the one in the first movie did. Believe me, NECA crammed as much as they could into this release.
No wobbly hips, either, thankfully...all joints are nice and tight, and the wrist computer door is firm and doesn't break just by opening it.
But MAN, then you open the package, the paint smell is stronger than any other recent NECA release I've gotten. Whew!
Overall, it's a great figure. Very pleased.

Actually, the paint smell is so bad because some pieces - mostly the masks and armored bits - have some weird stinky grease on them. You can clean it off, but it's odd that it's there to begin with.
I'll have to get to TRU! Though, the store by me has all but gotten rid of the "Collector's Corner". They haven't gotten any new NECA or McFarlane in since the Ripley/ Newt pack.
Wow, that sucks. My Collector's Corner keeps growing, actually.
Yeah, the "corner" was actually 12 feet of an aisle, just for NECA & McFarlane. Now it's down to 4 feet, and they have Funko, Diamond Select, and even some Mattel in those 4 feet. There's more Muppet Minimates in the section than NECA. It's a sad state of affairs.
No TRU Collector's Corner here in QC, Canada. Even online their selection sucks. So glad for Northmen Collectibles!
