End of the line! The Thundercats Classic line has officially hit it’s end (for now) with the shipment of Panthro. He’s the last of the short run subscription from Mattycollector. Panthro joins SDCC exclusives Wily-Kit and Wily-Kat, Lion-O, Jackalman, Pumyra and Mumm-Ra. While not complete, and may never will be, it was a great run with tons of potential. The Lion-O and Mumm-Ra were top of the line figures, even just by themselves it’s worth having on display for the nostalgia factor. Panthro is a great compliment to Lion-O, but would be so much better with the rest of his first season cast mates. As a figure, Panthro is sharp, sculpt and paint are on point. Articulation is solid and his accessories are as well. He comes with an extra set of hands, his signature chained fighting sticks with spinning action attachment, his Thundrillium Detector (aka Thundrometer), and the Key of Thundera.
Let’s take a look and try not to shed a tear for what could have been after the break!

I would have sent them back for an exchange, if my Wilykat's face was painted like that.
Wow, that face is horrible. It looks like his nose was dripping snot and he didn't bother to wipe it off.
Mattel? Bad paint apps? Getouttahere!!
That paint would ruin it for me. For an expensive, exclusive collector's figure, I would expect a decent paint job.
I got 3 sets of these and none of mine look bad like that. I'd be contacting them for a replacement. That's awful.
Great photos, but yeah, I'd be sending those back in normal circumstances.
I would like to see a comparison photo with the Bandai 6 inch Lion-o.
I still have my original solid figure and it doesn't have that big horizontal seem line in her hair.
Waiting for mine to come in, I'll report in on paint once they do.
Lion-O is up!

Great pics! Lion-O looks ok. Like the head sculpt a lot. Not sure what it is, but something feels off about it the figure to me, especially considering the Wily Kittens were so good.
EDIT:
I will say, he does look really good next to the Filmation He-Man.
Great pics!
I really like this figure! Seems like Mattel makes the best stuff right before a line ends. In particular..the eyes and the claw shield are awesome! You can actually see hair texture in the claw, big improvement. The eyes are much bigger than the older classics line, looks more cat like.
The only thing I don't like is that he seems more like a Lion-O figure from the MOTU line. The body is basically the same style body of MOTU figures. This was expected as they must have reused some parts from MOTU figures. The paint also is kind of sloppy for such an important character, and such a delayed figure.
Filmation He-Man and Skeletor, and Lion-o are going to be some very sought after figures for years to come unless we get a re-release.
Wow, Lion-O needs to eat something as he looks quite anorexic in the abdomen. At least yours wasn't riddled with the quality issues Jay C got. Nevertheless, I'm glad I never bothered to get these given the team will never get completed (again).
I love these T-Cats figures and hope that Super7 will be able to follow through and complete the team in the same MOTUCish style... If not, I'm still happy to have the characters we did/will get... and with the recent MOTU/ThunderCats comicbook, it gives them a decent cross-over display appeal...
I personally would rather have the whole team or no team at all. I'm so sick and tired of having broken teams.
not bad but i still think the 6 inch bandai version is better..
Great pics of an awesome figure. Just got mine today and I love it. Too bad the line won't go past this year, but that's not going to stop me from enjoying the ones that ARE getting released
Not Interested until Panthro is confirmed for release and a too scale Thundertank.
