Well, this is actually looking pretty good... Still won't buy anything Suicide Squad related, but it's a great looking figure.

It's missing all the tampo slogan detail that the movie outfit has ("I am the light, the way) on both the gun, the collar, and elsewhere. Good attempt at Uncle Phil version Fresh Prince head though.

Someone on reddit reminded me that SHF distributes their DC figures in the US, so no need to import. We should be able to pick him up off of Amazon or LCS etc.

So, can someone tell me what is going on with Bandai / Tamashii???

Why is EVERYTHING Limited Edition, and so much Expensive????

When i see the Price on Nippon Yasan (Which are very good)
    i think "what the fuck"

For example, the S.H. Figuarts Joker - a NORMAL Figure:
NOT Limited Edition, Price around 45$
    > same for Harley Quinn.

And then BAM Deadshot, again Limited Edition.

Same as Kylo Ren and Anakin Skywalker from Star Wars.

These Characters are not even SPECIAL...Joker is SPECIAL, so i thought he would be Limited Edition and a lot more Expensive than the others, but no.

I mean what is going here? Why are some NORMAL Characters from S.H. Figuarts
Limited Edition, when others are not?

I do not understand this Mind Shit from Tamashii.

I feel like Tamashii is choosing the Limited Edition Characters completely "Blind" and "Random". There is no System behind this
or no REAL "Reason" to make some of the Characters from a Series Limited and not the others.

I would understand if EVERY Suicide Squad Figure and EVERY Star Wars Figure would be Limited Edition, but i do not get
it, why some Characters Limited and other Figures of same line, not?

First off, as with the story just posted, Deadshot is getting a US release, so don't worry about the price. The MSRP is $55, eventually if you don't mind waiting you'll probably be able to get him for like $40 shipped as has been pretty typical with a lot of Figuarts.

Second, in general, Tamashii makes exclusives for figures they don't think will sell well. That's the most often given reason I can find. Even though it makes perfect sense that Deadshot was basically one of top characters from the movie, maybe Will Smith isn't popular in Japan? Could be a number of reasons. Ep II Anakin probably isn't going to sell too well at general retail; even warranting an exclusive version of the exclusive.

The high price is due to these being sold for their MSRP directly by Bandai. Normal releases get discounts, but since Bandai is selling these directly themselves, they just stick to their MSRP, which is then inflated by the export shops like Anime-Export and Nippon Yasan.

In general also, from what I've read, exclusives are never reproduced in Japan. They make a shit ton for the US market however. Like there's several Monsterarts Godzilla releases that are supper expensive in Japan but you can buy them on Amazon right now for under MSRP.
