Chronicle Announces Replica Statue of Baby Raptors from Jurassic Park

Another new Jurassic Park collectible has been announced by Chronicle Collectibles. They will be creating a 1/1 scale replica statue of the three Baby Raptors as seen in Jurassic Park. To create the statue, they are working with Mark McCreery, the original Baby Raptors designer. Here’s more info from Chronicle:

We are proud to announce that we will be working with Mark “Crash” McCreery.

Crash designed the dinosaurs for Jurassic Park and we are proud to announce The Baby Raptors.

We will be producing The Baby Raptors for a 2017 release and they will be 1:1 scale.

Get on our mailing list to stay up to date on all of our Jurassic Park releases.

“”We wanted to clarify that we are working direct with Crash. He will be signing plaques for the entire run. This is for the three Baby Raptors pictured in his artwork. They will be presented in the same way our other Stan Winston pieces are displayed.””

    Kinda cute. I Still wish in Jurassic World they feathered the raptors. Being re-engineered & a series reboot, audiences would accept it. Coming out of the theater, all I heard was people commenting raptors were feathered.

    I still have my art of Crash cards from Jurassic Park.
    Also, no one but paleontologists cared if they had feathers in the movie 99% of people have no clue.

    It also makes a much more intense movie for the people to be chased by 5' tall lizards than 5' tall chickens.

    Even though a much more accurate comparison wold be predatory birds such as hawks and falcons?

    It has been suggested that at least juveniles of Deinonychus (which is what the Jurassic Park Velociraptors are mostly based on) were capable of self-sustained flight, yes.
