Hasbro has just released new images of the Marvel Legends BAF figure Vulture, for the upcoming Spider-Man Movie Homecoming. Apparently Michael Keaton’s MCU head will not be included in this odd looking take on the Vulture.

Wonder if they will tie the wings to falcon's somehow. Very similar, but vulture's looks older... prototype? Great look for arguably spider-man's silliest villain.
So I guess rumors of them having to release Spidey in packs was bull, and I am glad that's the case. Hopefully they will have a more accurate Tom Holland Spidey with head sculpt.... that will be hard as hell to find lol
I absolutely love this figure.
Ssssssoooooo....Hal Jordan is vulture? What........The.........F~*K???!!!! Not feeling this movie or designs at All thus far. Hopefully we can at least get a bikini sunbathing marissa tomei moment ( and a figure of said scene ? )
Micheal was Batman in two movies, and is playing the Vulture. Josh was Green Lantern in the animated series and also played Spidey in a few things.
I like this Vulture. Anything too comic accurate would have looked goofy I think. This is a more grounded design approach. If he didn't have all this excess gear he would just look like an evil version of Falcon.

Pretty good looking figure, though I kinda wish he wasn't a BAF. That said, this is one I might try and complete... maybe. The inevitable Iron Man figure will be an easy pass, so I'll have to try and get whatever piece he comes with online.
Also, is it actually said that there won't be an alternate head? or is this something people are assuming based on these pictures?

reminds me of Rocketeer with big wings. Even being allowed to play in the Marvel sandbox Sony has a terrible time trying to re-imagine Spidey villains- They need to stop trying to fit everything into the "real world" and just accept that it's a comic book character and being unrealistic is OK.
I think he fits well into the MCU. He strikes a good balance between comic accurate and real world without going too ASM2 ( lookin at you rhino). He's very much reminiscent of the falcon redesign in the fact that it takes an over the top comic look and makes it look legit without being x-men costume level boring. Other than the hulk, (and USO show cap) no ones been directly translated into the films without at least some tweeking.
I like the figure as a generic high-tech pilot, but not as the Vulture. The figure itself is pretty interesting looking, but those wings are ill-conceived. In their effort to make the character seem more realistic, they failed with what appears to be a 25 to 30 foot wingspan. Those wings are oversized...
I like the large wings, they add a sort of menace to the character.
@Triv
I did think about Condors and Vultures and how the fig did some justice to the source animal. I'm not saying they failed because of their vision. That's too much metal and machinery to work in a realistic fashion, IMO. The laws of physics wouldn't allow that anymore than Toomes' comic getup. Then again, my hopes were for a new classic Vulture. Maybe, next time...

I actually really like the design, reminds me of a fighter pilot uniform with wings. I'm really disappointed with the fact that there is no Michael Keaton head sculpt though. For that reason alone, it's little disappointing.
Vulture is retarded, but this take on him is less retarded. It's not bad, actually!
I'm not saying there will be an alternate head, but there's nothing yet saying there absolutely won't be.
i wonder if fans of this will get that stand
Marketing was why. They "had to" in the sense that if they did release one in the civil war line, that's less units moved for this toyline potentially. So it was better to sell him in a set, to dedicate real resources to his real line later as we're seeing now.
Hasbro has the master toy license for marvel including movies. That includes Sony movies. The way budgets are distributed per line, characters take priority based on who they can cover later. With his own line coming, there was no need to waste the budget on him then. Instead it was better to focus on other characters. This line is directly about Spider-man, so of course he's factored into the budget for the best sales push.
There was never any 'contractual mandate' on why, and always was because of resources and where the budget can do the most good for the figure line.
looking at this BAF image, from what i can gather
two ends for is wings could be for 1 figure
vulture's wing Base thing could come with the vulture figure.
and the back fans, maybe another figure
stands and jet thingy maybe with the x figure
so you might need 5-6 figures maybe
I will be building this one, it will be the first one I have attempted
