Pre-orders need to open soon...
That being said Star-Lord's face scan is disappointing. I was looking forward to some of those distinct chops from the images and trailers.
Darkhawk instantly bought. Big pasaroo on the rest. My wallet is breathing a much needed sigh of relief.
I hope that we can remove Darkhawk's wings. And I will need about 4-5 Starlord and Yondu figures just so I can make custom Ravagers.
Awwww, Sam comes with the little starfish guy.
I also notice Star-Lord doesn't seem to have his ankle-rocket thingies.
Why are Darkhawk and Vance called "Masters of Mind?" Neither has any kind of mind-oriented power. Darkhawk has a space crystal that grants him super armor and Vance is just space Captain America. Cosmic Defenders or even just Space Heroes would've been way more appropriate.
Not a bad looking wave, but definitely not a BAF I'm interested in completing. The new Star Lord is tempting, as is the figure of Angela. Not yet sure about Drax. He'd be at the top of my list if he had an alternate, non-screaming headsculpt.
Wait, I though Death's Head was the BaF for this wave?
Holy shit. An actual Michael Rooker figure. I never thought I'd see the day.
Oh wait, there's been Walking Dead figures of him already. Nevermind.
Oh wait, there's been Walking Dead figures of him already. Nevermind.
I also don't think Death's Head is a BAF, but a regular (albeit big) figure.
DarkHawk is a definite bought on sight, but I kind of wish they did his heavier armanents as accessories. Like the ones he used in War of Kings. Angela is a bought on sight too.
Meh. That Vance Astro figure would have been a hit with me about 20 years ago when I was reading every "original" Guardians of the Galaxy story I could find, back to the 1960s. Now, not so much. Might get it at half off. the rest, I don't have any interest. The $8 cartoon-based Guardians figures I see at TRU are more interesting-looking than these to me.
Darkhawk is the only figure in this wave I need. Thank the gods for that.
Damn it. Will the animated GOTG Rocket Racoon be the only GOOD articulated Rocket we'll ever get? How do they not have a new Rocket and Baby Groot in this wave?
Man, Angela is perfect. And Sam! I agree that Star Lord's face sculpt isn't great, but it's closer than the first movie's Legends figure. Looks like I'm buying most of these, fantastic stuff all-around. Kinda wished they'd have picked someone more interesting for the BAF, though.
Hmm. My wave two:
- Nebula (Obviously.)
- Mantis
- Starhawk
- Good articulated Rocket with baby Groot
- The Thing in his GotG uniform
- Badoon Soldier (Boom!)
- Quasar (Vaughn)
- Ayesha (because we needed more villains)
And yeah, can't think of a more perfect BAF than Charlie-27. Except maybe Annihilus, but they've already done that one.
Darkhawk a definite buy !!!
Vance astro and angela will be a both maybes when and IF they drop down in price.
I however am really wanting that Death's head II. he needs to come out quick
I still want MCU Ronan the Accuser!
Really hoping wave 2 has both MCU Gamora and Nebula! I skipped over the original Gamora due to the lackluster headsculpt.
Weird. The Guardians toys look totally off from the more streamlined comic book style of the other characters.
Still, gonna be interested in Titus 'cause how often do we get a burly tigerman as a toy? Given how he is a really minor character mostly and the nemesis of a hero nobody cares about (Jeph Loeb's son-based Ultimate Spiderman Nova), I am hoping he will be worth little on the secondary market where I will pick him up.
Who the heck is Darkhawk? Evil Falcon?
You not caring does nothing to change that reality that a hell of a lot of other people do.
Darkhawk is a 90's superhero who was sort of "drafted" into Marvel's cosmic community with the War of Kings event in .... 2009-ish? Around then. He hasn't really done a whole lot, but fans of most things dig the semi obscure.
