Back at NYCC 2016 Playmates revealed a new twist on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figures that not many of us were expecting – Ninja Superstars. These are figures where the Turtles dress up as their favorite WWE wrestlers. The first 4 include Leo as John Cena, Raph as Sting, Donny as the Undertaker, and Mikey as Macho Man Randy Savage. We got our hands on Mikey’s cosplay with Macho Man, and ran him through a set. Read on to check out the pics along with some quick thoughts!

None
Overall Thoughts:
The Turtles as WWE wrestlers – a match made in heaven. I guess this would be the first cosplay action figures out there. The mashup works, as the Turts seem like they would be super into wrestling. As figures, I was surprised at how big they were. They are basically 6 inch scale, almost as large and hefty as the Playmates Classics Turtles. They have less articulation, but still a good amount for a larger figure like this. Elbows, knees, shoulders, hips, wrists. The accessories are goofy and fun, can easily be ported over to other displays. I think it’s a great line, kids will dig it, and adults can grab a random here and there if their favorite Turtle, or Wrestler, makes an appearance. Having Mikey on the desk dressed as Macho Man immediately triggers thoughts of OHHH YEAHHH and that brightens up anyone’s day! Now, where is my Stone Cold Raphael Austin! :)
