A new Retro Mego Style Marvel Comics Punisher has been revealed by Diamond Select Toys. The figure will come in a large gift set packaging, similar to their Daredevil, Wolverine and Spider-Man releases. While I laughed to myself when I saw these, they are very cool looking and hit enough notes to be reminiscent of Mego figs. I laughed because the heads are awesome and bear a strange resemblance to John Leguizamo (especially the left most and middle figs)...that is, if John were tough and intimidating looking. Also love the work boots on the creepy "Stalker" Frank to the far left...
I wouldn't mind buying these, but would want at least two figures to display more than one costume at once.
I can't make up my mind as to whether these are ridiculous or awesome. Maybe both?
The crazy head sculpt is really reminding me of Jack Kirby's artwork, although I have no idea if he ever actually drew the Punisher or not during his career.
I got the Deadpool one. It was actually really fun to pose around (Play with) ;P
