Our friends at Toyfinity have sent along some of their recent releases to check out. These include the newest Robo Force and Zeroids kits. These include:
- Sentinel The Protector – Classic Edition
- Neo Zeroid – Protector Edition
- Darkness Soldier – Legion Edition
- Darkness Soldier
- Neo Zeroid – Hunter Edition
Many of these are still available via the Toyfinity Store. We ran these through a quick photo shoot. Check out over 45 high resolution photos after the jump.
We’ve photographed many of the Robo Force kits before. If you’re a fan of these, you likely own at least one version of the kits. You can check out some of our previous shoots for more in depth reviews of the kits themselves. Below, I’ve given some quick thoughts on these newer releases.
Sentinel The Protector – Classic Edition
Toyfinity continues to impress with their Classic Editions. Their previous Maxx Zero Basic and Ultimate Editions were fantastic. The Sentinel Classic Edition is a perfect addition to the line up. The color choices line up really well to the original Robo Force Sentinel figure. The paint work is solid and the entire thing has the vinyl-like gloss these kits are known for.
Neo Zeroid – Protector and Hunter Edition
The return of the Zeroids in a Glyos compatible format not only returns the toys to fans, but makes them 100% interchangeable with the Robo Force figures. The kit is smaller than the Robo Force figures, but the molds look good. The black and white for the Protector Edition is fun. The red of the Hunter Edition turned out well. The red is a slightly more matte finish compared the mostly white and black Zeroid kits. IF you’ve handled any of the previous kits from Toyfinity, you’ll be right at home here.
Darkness Soldiers
These figures are a joint crossover between Toyfinity and the Glyos system originators at Onell Designs. Wile the connection points are the same as the Robo Force and Zeroids, the design of the pieces is very different. The Darkeness Soldiers feature a much more humanoid look to them, evoking classic 70’s sci-fi designs. The standard Darkenss Soldiers are red with some white, black and gray highlights. The Legion Edition has a similar style to the Neo Zeroid – Protector Edition, with a white and black color scheme. You can mix and match pieces like any other Glyos figure. The standard, out of the baggie assembled figure is a fun little figure, with good articulation for the small size.
