But where is my one:12 BvS Batmobile?
Had there been any word on the classic Punisher colorway? I see the deluxe thunderbolts and the modern version out for order, but no word on white and black?
Anyone else slightly disappointed with Spidey and the Regeneratin' Degenerate Deadpool? I don't know, but to me they look more "MEGO" than "MEZCO". Wade's costume just looks too bright and spare. Where are the buckles and straps? It needs more black, or pouches, or maybe both. And Peters costume is just too jarring, with the soft-goods torso clashing significantly with the plastic neck and head. Which is a shame, cause ol' Horn Head and Frank look phenomenal.
These give me a "high end MEGO" feel.
And I still want Space Ghost, D*****!
Mezco's One:12 Collective is easily my favorite line of toys. That being said, even the completist inside me isn't tempted by several of them. I received Armored Batman this week and wow, he is fantastic! I can't wait for Classic Cap to arrive.
Something worth noting is that the texture of these figures looks WAY better in person than in pictures. Digital cameras of all kinds now add contrast and sharpening to each shot taken by default. Then, to make them pop, people will edit them and add more contrast and sharpening. Finally, they get shrunken down to web size and that intensifies the sharpening. The result is favorable to all-plastic figures, but not so much for fabric figures. It makes thread and cloth lines stand out and be much more prominent than they actually are. They look way better in person.
The ones they get right are spectacular. Love the Trek line and the BvS figs. But I don't care for how they make random design changes to existing characters. Really wish they'd stick to making iconic versions, at least at first. I hesitate to buy many of the DC figs because I expect they'll make more comic-accurate versions later.
I was very excited for the Ghostbusters line, but boy, the zips are clunky and distracting. Kinda wish they'd gone with snaps. Doubt I can bring myself to splash out for the Blitzway figs, but I'm not sure I want to pay Mezco prices for figs I don't like as well, either.
