Posted on September 22, 2016 at 12:32 pm by Joe Moore under General Toy News

Funko has revealed some new ReAction Figures. They will be releasing figures based on the classic Dark Crystal movie. These will expand upon a few of the convention exclusive Dark Crystal figures Funko has been releasing. Included are:

  • Jen the Gelfling
  • Kira the Gelfling
  • Aughra the Astronomer
  • UrSol the Chanter
  • The Chamberlain

The figures are scheduled for release in October. See the photos after the jump.

This is the way I support ReAction figures in the future. They can be 5 POA, but should look like the source material.

Now this is a must have; grew up to this movie. Maybe they'll make a Fizgig?

Yes if you get 1 of each figure you can build the crystal.

Hey, these look quite nice! Wouldn't mind UrSol the Chanter and friends marching along the top of my desk (alongside Yoda and Gandalf).

This might be the first toy line in years that I will need to collect all of it. I hope Funko would eventually release Garthim and Landstrider separately as regular editions.

I agree, that's a good way to combine that retro feeling with the advantages of modern toy sculpting.

You should! I actually watched the movie this year (before the toyline announced), it's really good! I'm so annoyed that I haven't watched it as a kid, though I was born in the 90's anyway...

I found the landstrider at TRU and it's amazing. I cannot wait for the rest of these figures!

I'm tempted to buy the whole wave, but even if money's short I will definitely try to get the Chamberlain and Ursol the Chanter at least.

I for one am really glad that I have not seen it as a kid, because I was a bit afraid of puppets. This movie would’ve given me nightmares for sure, which apparently was Jim Henson's intention behind this movie all along

But watching it as an adult I loved it too. The amount of work put into the puppets and models is breathtaking, and the designs and story fascinate me.

I wish they'd done that with other lines. They feel like wasted opportunities now. The figures were just too basic.

Unfortunately for me, I really only want the damn build-a-crystal from this line!

It was creepy. I saw it at the cinema after screenings for E.T. had sold out. The Skeksis were scary.

These are too nice. I might end up going after them all the way I did their Nightmare Before Christmas figure line.
