SH Monsterarts Destroyah Special Color Version New Photos

Last week, we shared news on the upcoming Tamashii Web Shop Exclusive Destroyah Special Color Version. Based on 1995’s Godzilla vs Destroyah, this re-release features an all-new paint scheme, with additional weathering and dust detailing. The figure will include four Freeze Maser Tanks and four Freeze Maser Guns. No effects pieces or flight stand is included with this release. Tamashii Nations has posted new photos, giving fans a more detailed look at the figure. We also get a fist look at the Freeze Maser accessories included here.

Destroyah is scheduled for release in February 2017. The figure is priced at 15,120 Yen (about $149 USD). You can see the new photos after the jump.

    Bandai does know there were Godzilla movies before 1989, right? It wasn't just 1954 and then 1989.

    As someone who has recently started collecting these figures I'm pretty happy they're re-releasing big hits. I know it's probably frustrating to see a bunch of repaints all the time, but there's definitely a silver lining in this cloud. Also since it really doesn't cost them anything extra for tooling this release doesn't necessarily mean that they're not currently working on new things simultaneously.

    I've got nothing against them repainting figures. My problem stems from the fact that since March of 2015, there has only been two non-Godzilla figures, a repaint of Ghidorah and now a repaint of Destoroyah.

    Not getting it. However, this figure looks very good and its great for those just starting on this line of figures.

    Not a huge fan of Destroyah, but I might get this because there's so few other characters released. There's definitely others I'd rather them re-release like Mechagodzilla or Mothra.
