Marvel Legends Secret Wars Captain America Photo Shoot

Posted on September 6, 2016 at 9:02 pm by DESTRO under Marvel Toy News, Random Photo Shoot

As a soldier in World War II, Captain America fought for the safety and honor of his nation. Now, as the leader of the Avengers, he fights to protect the entire world. Villains great and small wield earth-shattering power without hesitation. Only the original super soldier and his team of mighty Avengers stand between those ruthless forces.

Marvel Legends Secret Wars Captain America

Pros
Good Paint Deco
Cool motion shield

Cons
Needed more hands for new motion effect

Overall
Secret Wars Captain America is a nice addition to any Marvel Legends shelf. It has a nice paint deco and a cool new motion accessory to keep this figure looking fresh and offering something cool for collectors. My only issue with this Cap is the hand that holds the motion effect does not offer much variance in posing. It would have been cool to have another hand holding it at a different angle. Still a nice figure that I would put on the buy list.

First up is the awesome Scarlet Witch!

This Scarlett Witch looks truly epic! I can already anticipate not having a chance in hell of ever finding her in the wild or online for anywhere under $30, so I think I'm definitely going to consider getting the entire Abomination wave just to aquire her. I don't know if that was Hasbros strategy, but if it is I'm totally suckered in.

Secret Wars Captain America is up next. Very interesting motion shield, it was fun to shoot.

I have zero interest in the Cap. Sure, the shield effect looks cool, but it can only be used with this version, which does me no good.

Britain is one I'm not sure about. He looks cool and my renewed interest in X-Men has been kind of considering him, but I'm just not sure I want to bite. Perhaps when he is on sale.

Eel is as good as a filler can get. It's a solid figure, but it's not something I'd personally buy if it weren't for the BAF piece.

I need Eel to have someone to go with Cottonmouth, but I'm going to wait for him to be on sale or clearance.

FYI, Dorkside toys has Britain for 14 something. Just ordered him and it was less than retail shipped. Also love the fugure. Not the costume I'm used to but a solid figure.

If a loser like Eel can get a figure, eventually getting Electro and Overdrive to complete my Sinister Six is all but guaranteed.

That's... that's his origin. I mean, his stint as a villain lasted for only that story, sure, but that was how he was first introduced in the comics.

Ah okay. I've only known Wonder Man from the 90s when he was already apart of teh Avengers.

Ahhh, all righty. Sorry if I come off a bit "abuh?!" sometimes, I legitimately forget that not everybody has the "knows and retains random comics factoids" brain on 24/7 like I do.

I love this figure because I love the character so much. Great addition to the line for what is basically a repaint of Iron Man.

I'm actually kinda shocked at Destro for clearly not knowing who Wonder Man is. BTW the review also incorrectly uses 'then' instead of 'than.' Just thought I'd help!
