Sigh, the 3.75" 5 POA figs look like hot garbage (especially that captain with the meth eyes). Hasbro, for shame; get your heads out of the 70s, it's 2016 (aside from one UK'er) WE Hate 5poa and it's been made clear with the TFA line pegwarming the same 6 figs for over a year now; while the proper articulated black series 3.75" is sold out in every Walmart (Walmart exclusive, idiotic) unless it's Finn (repacked every wave). GET IT, Hasbro, just get it. Apathy will not sell well in the long run, and collectors want proper "action" figs not stiff Popsicles of plastic dung.

The tie looks cool. Probably skipping this line altogether. It will be pegwarming all of 2017 anyway, I'll cherry pick them on clearance for background fodder.

I really want that Dark Trooper, they can call it "Death Trooper" or other similar name, to me that is in truth a Dark Trooper Phase 1.

I'm very excited for this, but I can't help but feel like every reveal we get for Star Wars 3.75" feels like a little bit of a loss because of the lack of decent articulation. You'd think that Hasbro would up their game for Star Wars season. Like Universe said, most of the TFA stuff is still pegwarming. I was at a Walmart two days ago and a bunch of the TFA 5 POA figures were on sale for $6.44.

Now, unto the positive! Those vehicles look really nice. This year I'm definitely going to try and pick them all up. I'm especially hyped for the AT-AT and TIE Striker. I'm hoping that there will be some good Walmart 3.75" Black Series offerings this year. We definitely need the main crew, Krennic, Death Troopers, and Shoretroopers. If they come out with Walmart Black Series Deathtroopers, they will undoubtedly be my first army build. I might even consider going Black Friday hunting for them.

Ha ha he does have meth eyes.
Yeah it's pretty disappointing to see how hasbro has been treating 3.75" figures the last few years, meanwhile upping the quality of the 6" stuff. I mean now the scales are the SAME price for the some of the same characters (like civil war falcon) with less quality. It's also odd they didn't even bother to put the names of the characters on the 3.75" single carded figures.
    The vehicles look cool tho!

I wish I shared your enthusiasm. For me, the trooper stands out as a disappointment. I love troopers generally (have oodles of 'em), but this design leaves me cold. Hope that changes when the movie comes out.

I don't need to put my figures in any crazy ninja poses so I'm cool with 5 poa(so long as the sculpts are good and paint apps are decent) but I understand why it gets the hate that it does.
So far I think I'm only gonna be interested in the k2 droid in both scales and the 5 poa Classic stormtrooper. I'm totally not feeling the death trooper...don't like the helmet design, which looks like they frankensteined a mouse droid with a stormtroopers helmet.

Wow some of that looks really great. That new droid looks very "Iron Giant-ish" but cool. I agree about the 5 POA scheme Hasbro has been employing in what feels like both its Star Wars and Marvel 3.75" lines (I know the Marvel ones are closer to 9 POA, but still disappointing). I remember not that long ago I could pick up a 3.75" Marvel Universe figure or a pre-Force Awakens 3.75" figure (that wasn't associated with or labeled as Black Series) and the articulation would be outstanding. Why the 6" line can be improving in leaps and bounds, yet the 3.75" lines are left to flounder and almost regress is definitely confusing and utterly disappointing. Then to make the only decent Force Awakens 3.75" figs almost impossible to attain (as I live in Australia and we don't have Walmart here) is even more baffling.

Almost every retail store I've visited in recent months has had almost zero Black Series 6", almost always completely sold out, yet is absolutely flooded with 5 POA 3.75" peg-warming like a boss. Confusing, but that's the way it is I guess. I'm excited to see some new storm trooper designs and variants, and it's cool to see some more Hoth-inspired attire on some of the new characters. I love that layered-garment look, with shirts and jackets and scarves etc. Those new vehicles look pretty great as well.

More garbage that are gonna clog pegs for years...even at clearance. Shame hasbro will never learn and keep churning out 5 poa garbage at over inflated prices.

I can see what you're getting at at not needing to display them in some complicated pose but at the same time the average collector requires a decent amount of poseability in their figures to put them in decent poses.

I totally agree with you. It's especially annoying that all of the good stuff is exclusively at Walmart. All of the Walmart's in my area are terrible and most of the time I have to pay scalper prices online unless I find a good Walmart on the road. I wouldn't mind too much if Hasbro cut the articulation the same way they've cut the articulation on the Marvel 3.75" figures, just so long as we can get some decent poses out of the figures.

We're getting a new wave of Walmart Black Series 3.75" figures. They all consist of Vintage Collection repacks. They're all very cool, but the highlight of the wave is the Ashoka repack. I'm extremely excited to get her. I hope this doesn't mean that we're not getting any Black Series 3.75" Rogue One figures, though.
