NECA shared a handful of new photos from their upcoming Aliens Series 9. The images gives us a great look at highly anticipated Colonial Marines Vasquez and Frost. The duo, along with the Concept Alien Warrior, are scheduled to hit stores in August. They are being released in celebration of the 30th anniversary of Aliens. We’ll have more of these new photos when they go live on NECA’s site.
Celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Aliens with three extraordinary action figure debuts! Series 9 includes the first-ever Private Vasquez and Private Frost figures with authorized likenesses, as well as an Albino Alien concept figure based on the original James Cameron screenplay.
Private Jenette Vasquez is one of the most requested action figures of all time and features the likeness of Jenette Goldstein. Her Marine gear is completely faithful to the movie, from the hand-painted mottos to the detailed headgear and shoulder lamp. Vasquez has over 30 points of articulation and comes with a smartgun with fully articulated harness, plus a blast effect that attaches to the muzzle.
Private Ricco Frost – known as “Frosty” to his fellow Marines – comes to action figure form for the first time with the likeness of actor Ricco Ross. His detailed body armor features the same personalized touches as in the movie, and he’s packed with accessories: removable helmet, ammo bag, M240 Flamethrower, and pistol that fits in a functioning holster. Pvt. Frost has over 25 points of articulation.
The Albino Alien is our first concept figure from the 1986 movie. It was inspired by the original James Cameron screenplay, which describes an albino version of the Xenomorph that has an excreting probe in place of the usual second inner mouth. The Albino Alien has over 30 points of articulation and features a bendable mouth probe and a frightening new color scheme.
All figures stand approximately 7” tall (Albino Alien is over 9” tall) and come in 30th Anniversary clamshell packaging.

Aliens Series 9 by NECA - Aliens 30th Anniversary Assortment

Great likeness on Frost.
That, or the purpose was simply to weird you out...
Updated with all figures.

BTW, this entire assortment looks awesome. That alien's tongue/probe/whatever the hell is going to give me nightmares. I don't wanna know where that goes.
Actually, I lied above- I DO wanna know what the hell that alien's probe tongue thing is for! I Googled it but I can't find anything.
It's not for deep tissue massage, that's for sure.

Description from the original script.
Where the warrior has a set of striking teeth within its head, the drone has an excreting probe, like an organic stucco-gun.

Did Neca ever get the likeness rights to Apone?
I really don't want that albino alien, but the other two are tempting. I guess we'll see what they are going for at retail.
Still waiting for the Alien 3 wave to come out so I can get another shot at that dog alien.

The albino alien is a neat concept. I think I would use it more on the lines of a dead or maybe even stone sculpt alien. Like an ancient display of a race of aliens. Could see using 2 of them as pillar displays. But I dont know about the tongue. Hopefully removable but it not, I think I'd have to remove it.

Thread cleaned up. There was no need to have it derail as far as it did. There's an ignore function, I suggest people begin using it.
Without wishing to get involved, just for the curious, here's some slight Arcturian details

On the figures themselves, pure win. I especially love the Albino Alien, totally creepy. I'd no idea the concept existed.
Also bodes well for some of the Aliens that have appeared in the DC comics crossovers and the like. I didn't get an answer from Randy when I asked around that - twice. That may or may not mean something lol.

I'll take any and all weird Xeno's, personally. The concept stuff and the upcoming Kenner inspired stuff will likely be my personal favorites.

FFS, I just realised I need even more 'hugger eggs for my eventual grand display
Ditto. Seeing weird animal hosts blended into a Xeno is always fun. The Mantis and Gorilla Aliens were always my favorites and I can only imagine how amazing NECA's versions will look.
I didnt even pay attention to the small image HAHA
Well that definitely solidifies my purchase.
Ugh that thing is creepy.
I usually don't buy too many duplicates, but will for sure be buying at least 2 of the albino. that thing is phenomenal.
Yeah, I like it too, for the authenticity. I guess it's the same reason I like Big Chap.

P.S. Welcome to the Ark!
I wonder how long it will take before some overbearing PC Parent complains about the phallic appendage dangling from that Xeno's mouth, causing it (and possibly NECA's Alien Series) to be removed from TRUs for good? Especially since the tip of it bears a strong resemblance to the "red rockets" found on the anatomy of male dogs...
Hide it in the bottom of the package.
