NECA Christmas Vacation Clark Griswold Mego Style Figure

NECA has revealed an all-new Christmas themed figure, coming this Fall. As many had predicted back on May 13th, when NECA revealed a Cooper Goalie Mask, they have announced a National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation – Clark W. Griswold 8″ Mego Style Figure. The odd thing is, the figure doesn’t appear to include that mask. Perhaps a future or unannounced variant? We’ll have to see.

This Christmas, in Clark’s quest for the perfect family gathering, he’ll short out Chicago’s power grid, electrocute a cat, battle a tree-loving squirrel, hold his boss hostage and spend some quality time with the local S.W.A.T. team… maybe it’ll be a Merry Christmas after all!

Celebrate more than 25 years of National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation with this retro clothed action figure from the hilarious holiday classic movie. Santa Clark stands 8” tall and is dressed in intricately tailored fabric clothing similar to the iconic toy lines of the 1970s. The figure features the authorized likeness of Chevy Chase and includes plenty of accessories for complete holiday cheer: Marty Moose mug, removable Santa hat and replica model pool.

Comes in collector-friendly window box packaging.

Clark Griswold is scheduled for an October 2016 release. Read on to check out the first official photo, as well as a behind the scenes image showing the sculpted Chevy Chase portrait.

    I dunno, I think it's pretty good. I'll hold out for the Masterpiece Fletch figure though.

    Is it just me or does the face on the painted head kind of look like Tim Allen...?

    You've never heard of National Lampoon's Vacation or its sequels (Christmas Vacation was the only worthwhile sequel)? Maybe they are a more American thing, I don't know how popular National Lampoon was out of the states but I guess I figured the movies were at least known of. Okay so Clark Griswold is one of Chevy Chase's main big roles that he's known for, so basically this figure is for the same market that bought the Home Alone figures.

    I just googled it, & it was actually released here in the 80's (under a totally different name) but I never saw it, & it didn't left a big impression, i'm afraid. On the other hand, Home Alone is still on TV every christmas...

    The National Lampoon movies were all popular over here. Christmas Vacation is very well known (moreso than A Christmas Story) and is on every year.
