We are capping off our look at the rebirth of Machine Robo (aka Go-Bots) today with a look at Rod Drill aka Screwhead! Rod Drill is another character that had some exposure here in the States and children of the 80’s probably remember. He’s a bit smaller than the rest but packs a ton of articulation into his little frame. He comes packed with pile driver weapons and one of those awesome configurable bases. Let’s take a closer look after the break courtesy of Big Bad Toy Store!

Overall
Rod Drill was actually the most fun of the bunch to mess around with. His poseability is great, allowing dynamic poses that hold all over the place with his swivel jointed elbows/knees/ankles and rocker waistline. The transformation again keeps true to the original while upgrading for modern times. He is a tad small, but they are shooting for anime accuracy so it makes sense. Bottom line, the Machine Robo relaunch was a fun ride and I’m glad they did it. All 3 are definitely worth a pick up for any Go-Bots or Transformers fan.
Note: Bike Robo aka Cy-Kill was delayed, he has not shipped yet at the time of this story even though he was solicited as part of wave 1 with the other 3.
