The first assortment of blind bagged Predator Minimates are now available at comic and specialty shops. These are available via a counter display, which hold 18 blind bagged figures. There are a total of eight different figures in the assortment. Included are Billy and the Jungle Hunter Predator (masked, unmasked and thermal) from Predator, the City Hunter Predator (regular and battle damaged) from Predator 2, and Edwin and Cuchillo from Predators. Edwin is the chase figure and is limited to just 1 per assortment. A few of these are the same as (or variations of) the figures available in the Predator Minimates Series 1 2-Packs.
I had a chance to shoot the entire assortment. After the jump you can check out over 70 photos and a review of the Predator Minimates Counter Display.

Overall
If you’re a full completionist, the best way to grab these is likely going to be to buy a whole box and resell any duplicates. Thankfully, many of the Predators can be had in the 2-packs, so it will be easy enough to hunt down the humans. The counter display itself is a nice box, holding all of the foil bagged figures. I couldn’t find any tells on the packaging or by feeling through the bags to see which character was inside. So if you’re not into blind bags, hold off for the 2-packs as many of these characters will probably pop up in those assortments.
The figures themselves are all exactly what you would hope for with the Minimates. Check out my review of the Series 1 Minimates 2-Packs Assortment for what to expect overall. Each of the figures includes a stand and most include accessories. Billy comes with a machete, a knife and a machine gun. Cuchillo has a gun as well. The standard City Hunter Predator includes swappable heads and a bow staff. The rest include just the figures themselves. Each has 14 points of articulation, which is great for this size figure. Parts are swappable between them, so you can create an ultimate Minimate version of the individual Predators. The only real oddity here is the thermal vision Jungle Hunter, which usually feels out of place as a figure.
Billy is the stand out here. It’s a pretty much perfect figure as it includes plenty of accessories. But the kicker is that you can remove his vest to reveal a scarred chest underneath, allowing you to recreate his stand off with the Predator. Cuchillo is also a fun addition as a Danny Trejo Minimate will be hard to pass up. Each of the Predators are well done as the masked head sculpts work really well. It’s nice to have their blades extended for fight displays.
Overall this is a nice assortment. If you’re not into blind bags, the 2-packs will be a good alternative. I do recommend hunting down a few of these if you’re into the Predator Minimates though, especially Billy.
