Gotham just got renewed for a 3rd Season on Fox here in the States and is working it’s way through the early story of Bruce Wayne and his villains. Diamond Select Toys is also continuing their run of 7 Inch Gotham Select figures to celebrate that. Series 2 gives us Edward Nygma, Harvey Bullock and Alfred Pennyworth, each with a dio environment prop straight from the show. We have them all in hand so let’s take a look after the break!
Edit – updated with some additional pics!
Gotham Select Edward Nygma
Gotham Select Alfred Pennyworth
Gotham Select Harvey Bullock
Overall
Overall Series 2 figures are better executed than Series 1. Each are solid, non-exact representations of their characters on screen. Nygma’s face sculpt is the closest, really capturing actor Cory Michael Smith’s essence. Harvey’s overall sculpt and paint captures the detectives feel even if the face is not dead on. Alfred, same thing. Construction on the figures is good, all joints move well, articulation is above average, especially for plain clothes figures. All are dense, quality feeling plastic. The accessories are on point again, getting a 7 inch scale office desk, a fireplace backdrop, and another piece to the alleyway scene. These are all things that could easily swap into other setups with other figures, and are awesome additions. Series 3 is already set and will continue to build on these environments.
Check out some shots below, full set after that. Gotham Select Series 2 is in stores now at your local comic shop or online retailer.

I don't enjoy the show Gotham much, but the dioramas these figures come with are great. I might buy a few of these soon.
I'm genuinely impressed by how fantastic these look. Especially compared to series 1.
Um, where is Bullock's dumpster?
Those are terrible
I love the show but the characters are pretty much normal people the likenesses aren't that great if you are making a character that is just a normal person not a superhero in a suit the likeness is the most important thing.
That is lame though. I no longer see a reason to buy Bullock as the dumpster was the reason I was planning to buy him.
Sorry, the show sucks, so these will be a pass for me.
The diorama's are pretty cool though, probably reason they throw them in there because obviously you just have normal folks in clothes
How sturdy is the fire escape?
These diorama pieces are some of the best. I can't wait for the Arkham Asylum sign.
Regarding Gotham, I generally enjoy the show. It's definitely NOT for DC/Batman fanboys. I like it for what it is, a campy/corny alternate Earth retelling of the Batman mythos.
By the time Bruce becomes Batman, all of his villains are going to be using walkers.
I wish there wasn't all this embargo crap and they could just do a plain, straightforward Batman show, as well as a Superman show. Call me greedy because we're already getting them in the movies, but there hasn't been a live action Superman show since the 90s and there hasn't been a live action Batman show since the 60s. Bear in mind, I'm not counting costumeless origin shows or shows focusing on either character's supporting characters.
I wanted Edward Nygma to customize into the Riddler. I couldn't find the basic TRU edition, so I bought the deluxe version online. The day before it arrived, I found the TRU edition on clearance. Now I don't know which of my two Nygmas to open.
