Wes Craven’s New Nightmare Freddy Krueger by NECA

Just over a week ago, NECA revealed their updated Wes Craven’s New Nightmare Freddy Krueger 7″ Figure. Now we have the first official look at the upcoming figure. NECA released the new images, and solicitations are going out to retailers on Tuesday! The figure will include a swappable demon head! We’ll have more as soon as it becomes available.

    I've been hoping they would do a new sculpt of New Nightmare. Not that I didn't like the old one.

    They looked into it before but the support just isn't there. Even many fans of the Nightmare franchise didn't show enough enthusiasm about a possible Nancy toy for it to go anywhere. In general the want for the human victims/heroes of these horror franchises is far too minimal compared to the want for the villains/monsters, Alien proves a rare exception but little to no others can say the same. The documentary I am Nancy showed how even going to the conventions barely anyone there actually knew who Heather was unless she was sitting at the table with her name on it to sign autographs and even then her line was dismally short. A Nancy toy would be appreciated though however unlikely it may be.

    Only way I could ever see them doing Nancy is maybe in a 2-pack. Even then, the appeal would be pretty limited.

    Side note, I actually went to MonsterMania this past weekend hoping to Meet Heather Langenkamp. Was the only person there I planned on getting a photo with. Unfortunately, she wasn't there yet before I left for the day.

    I hope they decide to do the NN Freddy in ultimate form. Hopefully they'll give us one in retro form as well.

    hm i do not like the fact that his Eyes are watching to the left.

    Maybe the Head can be switched from the Ultimate Freddy Figure?

    Would be really cool to attach Ultimate Freddy Kruegers Head (and the Hat, too)
    to that Figure.
