The NECA Terminator 2: Judgement Day figures have been receiving stunning new releases as Ultimate style figures. We’ve already taken a look at both the T-800 and the Sarah Connor figures. Today we’re looking at the newest addition…The T-1000 Ultimate 7″ Scale Figure. The figure is an updated version of their original Galleria Mall T-1000 figure from (I believe) 2009.
Toyark sponsor Big Bad Toy Store sent us a figure to check out. We have over 70 high resolution images and a full review. Check them out after the jump.

NECA Terminator 2: Judgement Day – Ultimate 7″ Scale T-1000 Figure
Pros
- Excellent sculpt
- A ton of swappable parts
- Great articulation
- Interchangeable chest pieces work great
- Strong paint work on the head sculpts
Cons
- Absolutely nothing
Overall
Like the T-800 and the Sarah Connor figures before, the T-1000 comes packaged in a black flapped window box. It features the same style as the previous T2 releases, so the boxes will all look great together. The figure sits on a plastic tray, held in by a single twist tie. The figure can be put back in the tray and displayed in the box if desired. It also includes a Pescadero State Hospital interior diorama backdrop.
The figure has an excellent overall sculpt. There are nice fine details such as texture lines in the clothing, shoelaces on the boots, etc. The head sculpts, outfit and accessories all look about as good as you could hope. The likeness to a young Robert Patrick is pretty close to spot on. The head sculpts themselves are all handled with great care. The layered painted skin has a nice life-like quality to it, with assorted reds and tans used throughout each of the head sculpts. The assorted silver pieces used, on the head, hands, chest, all have a very shiny metallic paint used. The figure features about 25 points of articulation, including double jointed elbows and knees.
Each of the interchangeable parts swaps out easily, with little to no trouble. You get alternate hands, crowbar arms, three heads and two chest pieces. If you have or have seen photos of the Terminator: Genisys T-1000, the swapping chest pieces function the same way. Each of the pieces and the figure itself are constructed very well. I didn’t run into any real quality control issues. The extended metal fingers are a soft plastic, so they may bend a bit easily.
When all is said and done, this is a top notch figure. It’s easily on par with the Ultimate T2 T-800 release. The number of accessories included adds up to being a fantastic value at about $22.

Man, I'm glad NECA put this out. I didn't want to have to dig through the endless sea of cheap Hong Kong knock-offs flooding Ebay. Great figure and value.
BTW, the shot of Arnold through the T-1000's head-hole is great, lol.

When I found this figure in person the other week it was pretty hard to not buy it, between budgeting and watching my space I had to pass. Then you go and do this review which makes the figure even more appealing!

*Cobra Commander voice* Curse you Joe!
I was real pleased with it. Especially because the joints were some of the best I've gotten from them ever. Usually there's at least a tad bit of stiffness and I need to keep a hairdryer handy just to be safe. This time, nothing. Solid, but not stuck and little effort required to swap out heads, chest, hands and forearms.
My T-1000 came with 2 left legs.
It looks well but I wasn't fussed on the T-800 likeness relative to how good this is, so I probably won't bother just for a T-1000 and maybe Sarah.
These photos look great man!
I recently just got this in my pile of loot from BBTS, and I must say that it was quite easily my favorite figure in it thus far (that I've opened...) The swap out parts are great, the figure feels solid and sturdy, and I didn't even have to heat it up to start posing it. I did have some issues with the split open head sitting kinda high on the figure's torso, as well as one of the ball pegs on the gun hand being slightly too big to fit in the wrist hole, but it was nothing a little work from my dremel couldn't fix. He looks great beside the Byung Hyun Kim T1000, and I highly recommend to any fan of the film. He's an easy must buy, and an early candidate in my eyes for a top ten figure this year. Easily one of the best "ultimate" figures thus far.
Love this figure.

No cons? Does that mean no more brittle as *** plastic? Virtually all of my older T-1000's have snapped pegs in either the shoulders or the elbows.
Plastic used is fine here. I didn't have any breakage issues. Joints were solid. Very much in line with recent Ultimate releases in terms of plastic used.
