The Tamashii Nations site has posted up a few photos for their next Godzilla figure. Check out a few images of the S.H. Monsterarts Godzilla 1954 Figure. This is based on the first “Gojira” suit design, which was worn by Haruo Nakajima in the original film. The figure looks like it will be released in a black and white paint scheme. Details have not been revealed yet. We’ll be sure to update when new images and details are released.

Photos For 1954 Godzilla SH Monsterarts Figure

I have to be honest, I'm not feeling it. It's probably because NECA's is nearly perfect that I can't see this one being better in anything but the tail. I'll probably still preorder it from BBTS just in case, but I'll wait until people have the item in hand before I decide to drop the (likely) $75+. This one is also missing some of the muscle the original suit had and looks more like the 55 suit minus the head.
Looks amazing. Kinda glad I didn’t buy the NECA-one now, I really need this in my MonsterArts display.
Let's hope they don’t stick with their weird Showa-scale, although I expect them to.
I have the NECA but this one looks really good. I think the head sculpt is great.
I'll just stick with the NECA one on this. It does look really good but so does the NECA one and that was only $20 while this will probably be at least three times as much for the same size range.
It's only barely related but I wish NECA had the rights to do Gamera figures. The SH one from Legion looks so sweet but, again, it's pricey for its size.
As much as I totally dig my NECA '54' Goji, this one makes it look like a cute cartoon character. And good to see it doesn't have those hideous triangular cuts (on the sides of the torso), like that 1964 Goji did. Anyway, nice '54', but can live without it.
The figure hit Japan a few days ago, lots of coverage available on the web.
I'm too new to link to the actual sources, but if you search
"ゴジラ 1954 sh" in google, and use search tools to find results from the past week, you'll find several sources.
Looks like a great figure. Love the ears. Eyes will probably bother many. I'm concerned about scale in this line now. I was a big fan of the idea of Showa Era figures being smaller, since the monsters themselves are smaller. However, seeing as this 1954 figure and the GMK are both bigger than the 1964, I think they may have abandoned that idea.
Still a great figure. It looks like the photographer of attachment 1 already repainted his figure to be in color.
