NECA has released a new photo of their upcoming Alien 3 Weyland Yutani Commando 7″ Figure. The image gives us a turn around of the figure, which we saw at Toy Fair last weekend. It is part of Alien Series 8, and is due for release June. Here’s details on that assortment:
Our best-selling Alien line continues with more action figure debuts!
Series 8 focuses on 1992’s Alien 3, and includes Weyland Yutani Commando, Dog Alien, and the first Ripley figure from this movie to feature the likeness of Sigourney Weaver. Ripley in Prisoner Uniform comes with removable jacket, 2 sets of arms, and flashlight & torch accessories. Weyland Yutani Commando comes with removable goggles, custom pulse rifle, and knife that fits in a boot sheath. The Dog Alien comes in brown and gray variants, with over 30 points of articulation and bendable tail.
Each highly articulated figure stands approximately 7” tall (Dog Alien is over 9” tall).

An army for the Marines to fight!
In a strange way I'm hoping these don't look good... cos then I'll need at least two of 'em!
Nice to see them doing some of the less iconic, but still cool stuff from the series.
I don't recall, why didn't they do a Vasquez figure?
BTW, with the internet being the source of misinformation that it is, I've heard both that Jenette Goldstein DOES and DOESN'T want her likeness used for a figure. I swear I've heard that Randy said that she had no interest.
However, straight from Jenette's Twitter account comes the real deal, and it seems that she'd be cool with it if approached: https://twitter.com/jenettebras/stat...04473041862657

There have been a few occasions (I think) where Randy has been coy about something so it would be a surprise when it was revealed.
Then, like a month or two later came the official announcement. When I asked him what was up, he said - you guessed it - "I was being coy."
IMO, good sculpts of Vasquez and Drake would be 'Must-Haves.' I can just picture them standing back-to-back in my display. Yeah, baby, YEAH!
Drake needs to come with an alternate melted head.
Yep finishing up the Colonial Marines would be a dream come true.

Huh. I don't even remember this character.
I love 'ALIEN 3' especially the BluRay extended edition; and that APE suit figure is the bomb! This looks like it's going be another terrific release from NECA.
-Windebieste.
85... but yes, you are otherwise correct.

These heavy clad guys escort Bishop II into the smelter at the end of the movie. Presumably their All Purpose Environmental gear will be enough to protect against attacks from the Alien that's loose and running around the facility (Acid blood, head bite, facehugger...)
EDit:
This is how they appear in the movie:

Will that thing's elbows even bend more than 10 degrees? That joint looks tight.

And every time I see that character I just see a dude in an anti-dog bite suit.

I shouldn't be surprised since so much of Dead Space is inspired by the Alien series(and the Thing and Event Horizon of course), but I didn't realize the cold environment suits from Dead Space 3 were so clearly based on this specific suit. Very cool.
AvP was supposed to made him be alive at a different time.
It's been confirmed by the production that Bishop II is human, but I like to pretend he is an Advanced Model Droid.
