We’ve received new photos and info for the upcoming Square Enix Batman Timeless – Bushido Batman Play Arts Kai Figure. The figure is part of their Play Arts Variant series of Batman Timeless figures, which also includes Wild West Batman, Spartan Batman and more. The figure features a massive armor set, a solid red cape and slight battle damaged sculpting throughout. Bushido Batman stand nearly 11″ tall and include two swords, sheaths, interchangeable hands, a grappling claw and a figure stand. It’s scheduled for release in June at a price of 19,800 Yen (about $175 USD).

This looks amazing, but once again it is way to expensive.
What is going on with that price tag though..
The price is actually significantly lower than is displayed if you order from most places as they discount it. It seems as though the Japanese are moving towards inflating MSRP so that essentially everyone can provide a significant pre-order discount.
AmiAmi has it listed for ~15,120 JPY. Still expensive but not nearly as expensive as in the article.
Yeah I get that, typically I order from HLJ, but this seemst will be the same price as the timeless batman which doesn't make much sense because this doesn't look as heavy, but I could be wrong. I wonder what they determine their values on because PAK have been rising their prices...getting very close to hot toys price range.
Yeah but we have to acknowledge the price creep. IMO if you're going to charge the customer more, you need to provide us with more. Remember that the first 3 VPAKs were $89.99($79.99 at some places), and that was an acceptable price for what you got. Now we're talking nearly $150.00 for these figures with no justification for the price hike. Are the figures of greater quality? Are you providing is with more accessories? Or are you just being greedy? I'm inclined to believe the latter, and so this will most likely br my last VPAK. The toy companies need to provide their customers with more bang for our buck or we will just be priced out of that market. It's just simple not the roght thing to do to your customer. Am I off base guys?
Play arts kai have gotten absurdly expensive and not improved on quality which make me angry I was planning on getting some of these but I can get way better figures for that price.
