The Toyark’s S.H. Figuarts Dragonball Z Galleries continue today with Tamashii Nation’s first Premium Color reissue – Super Saiyan Vegeta! SS Vegeta was fetching some pretty high prices on the aftermarket and Bandai answered the call with this. Luckily he isn’t exactly the same, and in my opinion is actually better than the original. The rich color tones pop here, going well with the DBZ Kai inspired colors of previous reuses for SDCC etc. The orange/yellow on the face leading into the hair is distinguishable now, also a plus. The body seems a bit tighter than the original release and due to paint being applied on most surfaces he has a heftier feel than the previous offering (slightly). Let’s take a closer look after the break courtesy of site sponsor The Toy Source!

Overall
Solid. I have preferred this style of coloring on their releases so far – the Anime colors first, and the rich tones. SDCC Piccolo and Gohan, SDCC Goku, the two RoF releases, even Krillin – they all had a saturated color scheme. Vegeta joins the ranks here and gives us a cheaper option than aftermarket prices for his original release while making it different enough to possibly keep some heat on the original. Bottom line – grab him as a second option or your first, can’t go wrong!
