This weekend, NECA hosted a showing of the first two Evil Dead films at the Alamo Drafthouse in New York. At the event, they had a display of some of their Evil Dead 7″ Scale Figures. Included was the first full reveal of their highly anticipated Ash vs Evil Dead – 7″ Scale Ash Williams Figure. Check out a few photo courtesy of Kastor’s Korner. The figure is due out this Spring along with a few others from the new TV series. Expect more figures to be fully revealed at Toy Fair in a few weeks.

First Look at Ash vs Evil Dead Figure by NECA

I hope we get plenty of variations of Ash, I'd love to just have a new "old" Ash next to my ED2 Hero Ash. Even though it has that old lame V-crotch the Hero Ash is still one of my absolute favorite NECA figures.

Do I spot a double-hinged elbow there?! Not just an average double hinge though but like how they do it for their Aliens figures, very classy. Either way I will definitely be getting one of these.
Looks groovy but sadly I stopped buying Neca's human figures since the new leg articulation. Am I the only one who can't stand the looks of crotch area on these? They look like diapers. I prefer Neca's older statue like figures. I hope one day they fix that too. That would be awesome for sure. I mean Super articulation without sacrificing realistic sculpt. In the mean time I'll stick to my ancient Army Of Darkness figure by Neca.
You may be right. That's why I think I am among a few who are against "diaper" stuff. I have some Play Arts figures in my possession they tend to hide it better than Neca does. I couldn't wait for Neca's Dutch upon announcement but after seeing the end result I skipped that too even though I am a Predator freak. That and too childish sculpting is the only reason why I don't have Marvel Select, Marvel Legends or DC Direct figures. I wish there was a company making decent comic related toys. Well there's Hot Toys and Sideshow Collectibles but something in 20-50 dollar range would make my day. Then I'd buy tons of marvel and dc stuff. In the mean time I can afford only one or two high end toys per year. And choosing sucks. I get it. I should either have a good income and get whatever money can buy or shut up and buy cheaper alternatives.
Before judging and whining too much maybe I will get one for a test drive.
Good head sculpt, and I guess the high beltline is screen accurate, more or less, but if I was the sculptor (which of course I am not), I'd be inclined to lower the beltline and shrink the pelvis area slightly in an attempt to mitigate the diaper effect.
If it looks okay up close, I'll be pulling the trigger. I dig this character. Bruce Campbell rocks.
That is a classy way to unveil a figure.
looks good and the demon looks spot on but i dont trust neca. bought a dante figure and it broke while trying to change his hands lol.
I hope the final result is better. The head looks a bit to big and he doesnt have a neck.

Groovy. I will buy asap. Hope we get those creepy ass demon kids and the Ghostbeaters team.

Somebody's job is to weather tiny Necronomicon pages.
Jeez... what is Ash packing? A 40 gauge? I don't think you could fit a needle down those barrels...
First off you look nothing like you photo,so you might want to update that.
